Steak 'n Shake

Didn't have a good experience the last time we stopped here. 30 minutes in drive-thru with a single car in front of us. Glad we checked the bags as they completely missed one of our meals. One of the sandwiches we did get was wrapped so poorly it came apart when taking it out of the bag. I don't know what to make of this but hope they can do better

Absolute worst experience I ordered 2 kids meals 1grilled cheese with fries and shake 1 plain cheeseburger with fries and shake and a meal for myself burger and fries and Frisco sauce. Shake machine not working ok no biggie ordered drinks instead. we get the drinks and the bag go get gas because we're on a road trip open the bag and got 2 grilled cheeses and 2 of the burgers I ordered and ketchup. so I go back and they say their closed I tell them what happened and he said they might be able to fix it so I sit at the window and nobody came back I mean atleast a refund would have been nice because now I have to go somewhere else to STILL feed my kids. THANKS

Still, only the drive-through is open. As usual, the order was wrong. Asked for a kids corn dog nuggets meal and got chicken tenders instead. The chili - if you can call it that, was more like soup with some chili beans and bits of ground beef. I don’t care if it’s short-staffed. Either provide the correct food prepared the right way or just close down.

I got to the microphone to make my delivery was put on hold and forgot about then I got my order in went to the window and I sat there for approximately almost 10 minutes and my bag with my food was sitting on the counter. And then the girl came up and hand me my bag and she did say she was sorry but I also saw the manager look in the bag and look at the receipt. My food was cold of course in the fries were cold and hard. Not sure I'll go back to that one again.

Would never ever, ever tell anyone to go here. We wait to order in the drive thru for over 25 mins and when we asked if anyone was there was told to shut up, then we ordered food and we waited for our food for almost over an hour my husband went in and asked where was our food and the workers said they didn't know what we were talking about didn't have our order, my husband had to show what we order so we can get our money back.

The cook came out and berated me... Very understaffed, but that wasn't the problem. I just want to tell the full story. I pulled up as the only car in the drive through, sat long enough that I googled whether they were still open. A nice older lady came on and let me know she needed to make 3 shakes first. Approximately 10 min sitting at the drive thru and I was able to place my order which included a meal with a large fry... and an extra large fry. The lady read off and verified my order and I pulled around, waited patiently, and recieved my meal with one fry. I checked my reciept while waiting for my shakes. Then I let the lady know I was missing a fry and the cook came out to tell me he put a fry in the bag. I said yes, but I ordered 2. He demanded to see my receipt (I had 2) and I handed him one. He barely glanced at it and told me there was only one fry. I politely told him no, I had one with a meal and one on its own... then I gave him the 2nd reciept. He only stopped arguing with me when the lady came back and gave me the 2nd fry.

Best burgers ever, but the drive thru service is ridiculous. Can’t explain the UNUSUALLY long wait while only a car or two ahead of you! I’ve given up the last two visits due to the excessive time it takes to even place an order! I do hope management re thinks whatever procedure they have in place for drive thru service!
