I appreciate that you’re limiting customers in the store right now, but I ended up leaving yesterday because of the cashier. There were 5 people waiting inside for their orders (5 is the limit) while there were 10 people waiting outside to get in. Makes no sense. Twice as many people could have ordered in that same amount of time. Have people wait outside after they’ve done ordering/paying.

My experience here was so bad I was inspired to write my first google review. I ordered a BEC and was given a small stale bagel with one (1) piece of bacon the thickness of paper. The bagel I received is insulting to NY. Also I agree with the other reviews that mask wearing inside can be improved! We’re all just tryna stay happy and healthy out here during the pandemic and Bagel Smith isn’t supporting either.

I would leave zero stars but that's not an option. Ordered a dozen bagels, a coke, an apple juice, and 2 coffees. Bagels were sitting on counter by register. All I had to do was pay and I was paying with cash. I would assume it's about $30.00. The cashier when I asked her to ring me up ignores me. And continued ringing up other people. After 15 Minuets of not being rung up and ignored I told the to keep the freaking bagels. I have never been there before and after this I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

The bagels here are great, if a little overpriced. However, it can take a long time if there's any line at all and it seems understaffed and the workers can struggle to keep up with a crowd. Generally I avoid it during busy hours.

The only bagel option in the area, but totally not worth it. Walk up to Greenpoint for your bagel fix. The bagels here rarely taste fresh and the same goes for their ingredients - still charge premium NYC bagel prices.

bad hygiene during covid people here don't practice any hygiene and I didn't feel safe. It's a small shop and it gets full of people easy but they don't limit # of people. The door is closed mostly and it gets stuffy. Also, the person behind the counter take cards (touch people's cards for transactions) who also happen to cut and wrap bagels. Not going back there.

Bagelsmith is honestly my favorite bagel place in nyc, but I won’t be coming back until there’s a vaccine. The staff took their masks off to have a conversation while prepping my bagels, like directly over the food and cream cheeses? Anyhow I told them they could keep it. Not interested in getting COVID over a bagel!!
