Halsey Street Grill

I've ordered from this restaurant twice and each time the customer service was deplorable. I called for delivery and the girl who takes orders needs to be fired. She always has an attitude as if I am burdening her with my order. They never have anything and the girl taking phone orders so nastily let it be known that this establishment is out of damn near the entire menu. Before I get the chance to finish my order, I am asked my address and phone number. Once she writes it down, she hangs up. The delivery service is horrible. I waited two hours for Luke warm food that was covered in grease. The driver didn't have change on him, so I had to walk to a store to get change for him. The only good thing about my experience with this establishment is the food, after I heated it up of course. But, terrible service is not the price I'm willing to pay for good food. You've lost a customer in me and I've forewarned anyone who is seeking advice on ordering from here.

There’s is no price so I didn’t know the cost of the food. I got the bbq wings which was good with Mac and cheese and yams. The Mac and cheese was mediocre it was missing cheese a little bit too much black pepper. The yams were good. I got a side of mash potato also and it was great. Customer service was good. Oh and the amount you pay isn’t worth the little bit of food you’re given

Staff at the restaurant seem nice and professional; although I waited two hours for my food and it takes less than 10 minutes to get to my home from the restaurant. I am very disappointed along with the fact my food was not even warm and didn't taste worth anything. The chicken tasted mediocre, collard greens and yams tasted as if they came out of a can and the bake macaroni didn't taste anything like soul food at all. To top it off, I'm pregnant and waited two hours for me to not want to eat this food at all. I personally will not eat here or recommend this restaurant ever again!!!

The meat loaf was excellent!! I ordered macaroni with it and it had a burnt smell and taste,also the candy yams was from the previous day and was just reheated and sweetened I can always tell.I wouldn't recommend the Ralph Ave restaurant I'll just stick too the one in Brownsville. Also delivery is a hour just so you know!!

This place was awful. I ordered delivery. The man who brought my food handed me a grease soaked bag and said to me "that just sauce don't mind that". While most people prefer sauce on they're food, I received a bag of it. All the napkins and containers were soaked a covered in it. The food tasted like reheated leftovers. They were out of what I ordered but instead of letting me know they just delivered me another similar dish. When I called to ask about it was when they informed me with out apologies that they were out of what I paid for (which was more expensive than what I received). They said the would send the delivery guy back with my refund. 3 hours later I called to check on it and the same sarcastic guy was waiting 15 rings to answer the phones said he was too busy and I should just call the online service I ordered it through. luckily the online service gave me a free refund. I will never order from this place again.

First time ordering from here for my niece... I called to ensure that I would get exactly what I was ordering and they somehow still seem to 'eff that up!!! So my order was to be GRILLED SALMON AND SHRIMP WITH WHITE RICE!!!... Let's start with the fact that there was NO RICE!!! NOT EVEN ONE GRAIN!!! Then the so called grilled salmon was far from grilled and covered in some sort of liquidated cheese with four pieces of shrimp also covered in "Liquid cheese". I THREW THE WHOLE THING AWAY!!! Still have to get food for the child to eat. This "Meal" was $23. I'm calling the restaurant and they won't answer. I've reached out to Uber eats in hopes of some compensation!!! I AM TOO ANNOYED!!!, AND WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HASLEY STREET GRILL EVER AGAIN!!!

Halsey Street Grill is phenomenal. I have tried almost everything on their menu and nothing is disappointing. I particularly love the smothered pork chops on a cold day. They come with a choice of two sides. For my wife who is a bit more health conscious then I am, they even offer steamed platters. Another favorite of mine is the whiting. It tastes as fresh as if it were caught that morning.

I ordered from here using UberEats. My food arrived in less than 40 minutes and it was hot! My Ubereats code is rayes102ue. I've passed this place on multiple occasions but I've never been compelled to stop in. I love to eat at O's Grill Spot, Bed Stuy Fish Fry, Lem's Fishnet and now Halsey Grill. I ordered a salmon pasta pasta and shrimp linguine meal and was called immediately to be informed that they did not have salmon and asked if a substitute would suffice. Both dishes were beyond delicious. Being a pescetarian in Brownsville is hard but Halsey Grill helps make it easy. Def recommend.
