The best paneer I've ever had. Very fresh. Didn't love the tikki masala sauce flavor. It was slightly ketchup-y tasting? Good consistency though. Really attentive staff. I was served quickly. Cute atmosphere. Nice take away containers. They are BYOB which is awesome. I will come back but I likely won't order anything tikka masala again. I returned and tried their samosas, saag paneer and the butter chicken. Still great paneer and the rice is great with the tiny onions they add in but I was disappointed with the butter chicken sauce as well. Still tasted ketchup-y to me. I also found the samosas to be really dry. The guy next to me got the almond-based sauce with his and it looked really good. Great place. Nice staff. BYOB. Fast. I wish I liked the food more.

Very nice decor and atmosphere, was a lot more upmarket looking than we had thought it would be. The staff were very efficient, polite and helpful. We were given complimentary poppadoms to start. We were in a bit of a rush for a show and they took our orders and brought our food out very quickly. The curry was delicious and we were even given a complimentary side of rice. On top of all this we were given 25% off the total because it was the anniversary of their opening. Cannot recommend this place enough, brilliant value and tasty food!

Very bad service and reheated appetizers. This place has really good Yelp reviews and few bad reviews. I can say the service is the reason for two stars the food is a three and a half. The food in the last few years has gone down in quality but I generally get the same thing each time. The appetizers come out in less than two minutes and are now lacking flavor. For something that is fried to be ready before your you are two sips into your drink makes me think this. The service part is the weak link. Our last time there none of our plates were cleared and I just ended up placing them on the larger table next to me. They also brought out the food while we were still eating the appetizers further cluttering up the already small table. The final straw was them opening the door and leaving it open directly behind my back when the weather at the time was around 20 degrees. I waited a few minutes before closing it myself. No more than two minutes passed and they opened the door again. This time someone was there and I asked him to close it and he couldn't for the life of him understand why and gave me reasons why it needed to be open. Since we had only a few sips left in our drink and we had already paid we just left instead of me telling them exactly why I'm never going back.

The food here is VERY good, and the place is elegant, upscale. The only real issue here is that nobody really speaks English, so you can't ask even the most basic questions and expect to be understood or get an intelligible answer. We tried to ask if the shrimp were peeled or in the shell... And try as we might... Could not convey the question. Luckily, the shrimp came peeled. We also tried to order takeout over the phone once and gave up in complete frustration. They need to hire at least one person who understands and speaks enough English so that you can ask questions about the menu or order over the phone.

Nice environment. Attentive wait staff. Only gets 3 stars because there was an issue of too many bugs flying around. Had to send some of the food back. This can be easily corrected.

I don't understand why this place has 4.5 stars. This is one of the worst indian restaurants i have been to in New York. I would rather go to an indian deli than going to this fine dine place. We ordered butter chicken and dal makhani with rotis and mint parantha. The butter chicken was basically tomato puree heated up with small pieces of chicken added to it. And the dal was so bland that we had to ask for salt and green chilies. The service was OK. I complained to the server that the food was not good and he said he will bring it up with the chef
