My favorite spot for Thai food in Brooklyn. The food is fresh and flavorful and the drink menu is great too. Happy hour goes until 9pm. Service is friendly and the vibe is low key but polished. Love this place!

The service was pretty bad. Food was over-seasoned, and would've been better if the flavor wasn't that strong. Service was bad despite I was the only person there. I settled the bill and gave a pretty good tip, but somehow the waitress confused that nice tip with the only money I paid for my food and chased me down the street to ask me to pay when I've already paid and got change back. I mean, pay attention since I was the only customer there!

The experience was very unpleasant!! I've been there a few times, and the food is great!! But the staff is horrible!!! I've noticed when I place an order in-house, I'm asked for the money up front, but when another "people" (white) place their orders they weren't asked.. And when I told her I would wait to see my food before I pay, because last time I was given the wrong food... The young lady stood over me, demanding my card... I told her once again to wait.. when the food arrived, I checked it then paid in cash! The exact amount.. not even a tip and I always over tip!! There food is amazing!! But their attitudes are deplorable!! I had 2 children with me one in a stroller... This was so embarrassing.

I Had a great time at this place. I was almost about to go to that other Thai place on the same block but my Yelp app steered me here! Yelp always comes through. This place was empty, save for an idling server sitting and a guy charging his phone at a table. But I wasn't deterred. It was Sunday before Labor Day. The beach not the concrete jungle of NY had the attention of the masses and understandably so. The weather was perfect. But I was hungry after my haircut and I wanted to eat nearby so I could have a long walk back to subway and get my exercise. I had two mixed drinks (Jungle juice and One Night in Bangkok)here and both of them were expertly crafted. The fried calamari appetizer was nothing special but it was good. The main course. Pineapple fried rice with shrimp was amazing. Rice cooked perfectly as were the shrimp. The portion was enough for leftovers. My server Marissa was very attentive. My water stayed full and my table was cleared frequently. She asked if everything was fine during every visit to my table. I cannot say enough about how delicious the fried rice was. A perfect 100 for Thai 101.

The lunch special red curry is good but the rice portion is very small. I also order the roti canai and I have to say I was disappointed. The peanut curry was too sweet and for $7 the portion was enough to feed a toddler. At best it's worth like $4. It is also very sweet and feels more like a dessert. Added my phone in the picture for reference. Had to deduct a star for this because roti was my reason for ordering.

Thai 101 stands out on Myrtle Avenue where there are literally four Thai restaurants within a five block radius! The food is cooked in authentic Thai manner, you can really taste the distinctive spices and flavors which each unique dish. I recommend the crispy spring rolls for starters and either the pad thai, pad see ew or the drunken noodles for your entree. Thai 101 also has a stellar $8.95 lunch special which includes an appetizer with entree. Really good neighborhood Thai spot.

Really solid Thai spot in Fort Greene. It was pretty cheap and the food was excellent. I feel like I eat a lot but I could barely finish, so much food. The dish was listed as spicy but it really wasn't too hot, which worked well because you could taste everything and still get a nice little kick with it. Excited to go back and try some more things!
