City Subs

Been going to this place for years even before they moved to new location. They’ve made good sandwiches in the past although a little pricey lately. Not sure if under new management but had issues with last two orders. Seems their supplier for chicken cutlets is not supplying. Problem is I don’t find that my order has been canceled until I get to store for pickup. Frustrating not knowing ahead of time

Made a takeout order but never got confirmation on pickup time. Called restaurant at least five times, no response. Went by the shop as my card had already been charged. They said the app I ordered through hadn’t even been turned on. Promised to cancel the order but never did. Now have to deal with app customer service to get a refund. Don’t use apps I guess.

I live very close to this restaurant and have watched a man who I presume is the owner, get into no less than 3 verbal arguments and 2 physical fights with different delivery drivers in the last year. No clue what they are about and why this man has so much beef with them. Sandwiches are pricey but overall not too bad. Also they are cash only.

Really would love to rate this place better. When I first started to order here I fell in love with the sandwiches, no complaints at all in both service and food quality. Over the last few months multiple things have really gone down hill. They are CONSTANTLY out of specific meats and don't bother to reflect that on their menu on Seamless. I have had many orders go through only to be cancelled out of nowhere because of it. Their delivery guys have mixed up my orders 2 times with the wrong address causing me to get someone else's order entirely. Customer service is rude and acts as if you are a bother to their operation. After I got someone else's order I called to let the restaurant know and the guy on the phone argued with me telling me that I got the correct order even after specifying that it was clearly marked as someone else's name and home address. He has an extremely strong tone to be dealing with customers and it can be off-putting to say the least. I ended up not ever getting my actual order and ended up having to deal with Seamless customer service who got me my money back. The straw that really broke the camels back for me was this past weekend. I ordered two subs (one that is my regular) and another that wasn't far off to what I got. The order was totally screwed up with completely different meat than what I asked for, mayo on top, and not toasted. Overall there really seems to be a lack of attention and consistency at this place and unfortunately now I can no longer give them my business. Hoping things may turn around in the future but it's probably not likely unless changes happen. A word of advice from a customer who genuinely loved this place - Update menus based on current inventory to spare people the letdown of orders getting cancelled after the fact, double check orders BEFORE they go out, and be cognizant of how managers speak to paying customers.

Unprofessional staff yells at uber delivery guys for being there too early. Tells them they need to stand outside the store in 97 degree weather while there isn’t a single customer. Yelled at drivers for “getting angry” when they didn’t say a word just standing there. It’s crazy, like the man didn’t understand that the drivers work for him to deliver his food to his customers. Ide recommend finding a different spot.

This makes me sad to post but I have to tell people that this FAKE City subs is not the city subs we locals grew up on, but a fake cash grab that is relying on the namesake of the old city subs. THE FOOD NEVER COMES AND IS ALWAYS CANCELED, THEY ARE NEVER OPEN, AND THE PRICES ARE INSANE. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. shameful excuse for a business that I’m not entirely sure isn’t a successful money laundering scheme, because there is no way they still sell more than two sandwiches a day. Lmao
