One of the best in the NEIGHBORHOOD!!!!!
Only had 2 squares could’ve used a little bit more sauce in it,but besides that really good, definitely going back to try out what else they have!!!!

Don't get me wrong, their food is good (considering there aren't many choices in this area). But, whatever happened to customer service? Whatever happened to "the customer is always right"? Maybe it's too much to ask of a place that considers itself Essential, daily serving hundreds of tired nurses and doctors working in a hospital a few blocks away... maybe the owners do not care to try and make 1 customer happy, when they'll continue to serve thousands others... but when a woman asks to replace a salad that has ingredients she cannot consume due to her religion or personal beliefs or due to a health condition... BE A FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD PIZZERIA! instead, they chose to be rude and told her to read the menu! It's on the menu!
Well, the price of replacing 1 salad has cost them multiple customers who will now boycott this place.

Working for years just a block away, it was shocking to hear that a business that deals with providing good food and good customer service could be so culturally insensitive. My friend of Muslim religion ordered a chicken salad just to find shredded bacon on it. She asked for a replacement and was told by an employee to "read the menu" and rudely hung up the phone.
This is how you lose your reputation and business. Think of it like you're feeding your family. Would you respond the same way? Probably not. So treat your customers, your community, and ALL people with respect and kindness- it goes a long way.
Sad to say you lost a lot of customers from this incident. Including myself.

This place has pretty average food. But our recent experience was truly unacceptable. When a customer tries to explain why they have dietary restrictions whether health or religious reasons, you do not yell “read the menu” and hang up. Maybe you should listen and learn from your customers for future customers even though you don’t deserve any.

Mediocre food that kept me going back one to two times a month when I was tired of the other food options nearby. But will not be going back after witnessing a disrespectful response by them to a Muslim friend of mine. She was hung up on after requesting to replace a chicken salad that had bacon. Distasteful and rude, situation could have been handled better.

Pizza and sandwiches are everywhere. This place is basic, nothing special, just convenient to the workers and families of patients in the nearby hospital. AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE -FORGET ABOUT IT ! I think their nose is up their behinds because so much people come and go . However, customer service is the epitome of business. If the food is basic and their personality and service is amazing, it may bring me back for another basic dish or hopes of better experience. But when there is no attempt to satisfy customers or deal with problems that can arise in this field of work, it disgusts me. My coworker is Muslim and ordered a salad where they sprinkled bacon on it, and after receiving salad, she kindly asked if it could be replaced because she was Muslim and she couldn't eat bacon. Their response : READ THE MENU and hung up phone !!!!!!!!! A $5 salad ….wow…. After years of ordering there for work events….thats the treatment!
Back to where their noses are stuck…… and while they’re sniffing themselves like their stuff don’t stink because of all the traffic through their restaurant , myself and coworkers will keep our money in our pockets for another pizzeria, like Gaetana’s, which is right around the corner and excellent in food and service ‘. Kudos to this impersonal, soggy-food pizzeria✌🏽.

La strada has been around for many years. Unfortunately they have insensitive staff members running the pizzeria with poor customer service. My friend yesterday ordered a chicken salad but realized there’s shredded bacon in it and couldn’t eat it due to religion reasons. Instead of making her a new one or providing an alternative, the guy rudely said to “read the menu” and hung up the phone. This is unacceptable especially for them to be in the food industry to be so culturally insensitive. What if the customer has a food allergy? Would the result be different? Highly disappointed, they can keep their salad for themselves because we will not be going back to them.
