A pastry case full of flies that the staff could care less about. Gross.
But why is everyone that works here so sad and angry?

Staff is always nice. Unlike other Starbucks, this location ALWAYS gets my drinks correct. Consistency is great here and this would be one of my favorite Starbucks in the whole New York City

My recent experience with the facility was similarly terrible and I would also rate it zero stars or less if I could. The heavyset female "server" was rude, dismissive and had an incredibly dour attitude. When I asked for my credit card receipt she made a face and wordlessly handed it to me. To make matters worse, they got my brewed coffee order wrong and it was stale and unpalatable. I attempted to elevate the poor service issues to the District Manager whose name was prominently posted, but not surprising, he failed to acknowledge or reply to my written concerns. If you happen to be shopping on Court Street, the best advice you will ever receive is to avoid this place and get your coffee elsewhere!

I was having kind of rough day today and this lovely barista Tony turned my day around! He was super friendly and helpful. He was very knowledgeable in helping me with questions about my drink order. You can tell he cares :)

Used to love coming to this place- however I find that none whenever I go the employees have horrible attitudes, don't seem to be happy to be at work (even first thing in the morning) and don't care to get my order right. To make matters worse, I have been in the downstairs area twice, and have been asked along with several other people to leave the downstairs area...with no explanation of why we can't sit down there and then left with no seating upstairs. I believe they are hanging out in the downstairs area. This is so unprofessional. There is never any wifi. I go to several Starbucks and this has got to be the most ghetto one ever. Please hire *real workers, please have a good manager who is watching what is going on. It's not okay to pay money and expect to get work done only to not be able to sit downstairs where there is additional seating because the workers decide that the downstairs is their new hangout.

I was attending my mothers funeral across the street and needed a vanilla light foam vanilla latte. There was no line so I ordered at the register. There were two ladies servicing your he bar at the time, the one that made my drink I believe her name was Tiana a small frame black woman passed me my drink. I noticed she didn’t say vanilla so I asked her if it was the vanilla latte she said no. I said oh I’m sorry it was suppose to be a vanilla latte she said well I didn’t pay for the vanilla. I said I believe I did and went to ask the girl that rang me up also a small frame white woman with short hair. She said I didn’t ask for vanilla. I told her I did and she proceeded to say she had not heard me. As a manager for 30 plus years I believe it should have even gone this far. I’m a loyal Starbucks customer with a gold membership. I doubt a pump of vanilla would have set the company way back in turmoil. But she proceeded to charge me for the vanilla. I went back to the barista who was now ignoring me. I ask for the pump of vanilla and she said one minute and proceeded to make another’s coffee. When she finished I asked her again and she said none minute finally pumped 1 pump in a cup and put it on the counter. The coffee was maid without effort and dislike that it tasted like milk even after I poured in my pump of vanilla which should have two pumps. I walked out and realized why am I accepting this and went back to the register to ask for a refund. At that point she seemed interested in making me another. But at that point I decided to walk over the the Starbucks on smith street where I alway get treated with respect. I went back to the funeral home and told the 100 guest not to go get coffee across the street. They are not nice. If your going to have an Starbucks across froma funeral home you should have more understanding people working there. It will not deter me from Starbucks it’s just one spot I will not go to. I have live in this neighborhood for 25yrs and this location has always had friendly staff. I don’t know what has happened.

If I could say 0 I would. This is the slowest Starbucks in America. Go to the one at Barnes and noble instead. Also, 3 people received their far more complicated drinks before I did. Horrible management. Too much money for such terrible service.

I'm not usually a Starbucks girl, but this place is great - because of the service. All the baristas are friendly and neighborly. Good place to cozy-up with a book or laptop. Service better than Starbucks on Smith Street.
