This is the second location in Flatbush/PLG. I visited from when it first opened and each time the food has gotten better and better. My favorites right now are the curry goat and the jerk pork. Everything was very flavorful and tasty though the jerk sauce was different then I was used to in West Indian dishes. The menu started out pretty small but has expanded each time I have visited. Portion size is a mixed bag, the shrimp dish and salt fish dish was not filling. I feel like I over paid for them. However, the jerk pork and curry goat were filling and decently priced. The drinks tasted fantastic, I tried the dark and stormy slushy as well as the kid Kreyol. Atmosphere is real laid back, you have to be cause you will be bussing your own table lol. They have outdoor seating in the front and tons more seating inside. This is definitely a good brunch meet up spot for a large group but also good if you just want to hang out with a few people in a more intimate way. Election day 2018 update*** The jerk chicken lunch sandwich was delicious. My only critique is I needed two because it was so good.

Horrible experience! The food was horrible and the bald head female bartender w/ the small puff, was very rude. She rushed us out by telling us they were closing. Her exact words was, " time to go home, you guys are lucky I am picking up these trays ".She refused to serve us another drink but I caught her serving a WHITE MAN INSTEAD. WIll never return

Gladys or Sadys? Funky food and not in a good way. The Jerk chicken was wet🚿like it was boiled 🛁in water that smelled like hot dogs. My poor green 🌿salad was brown. 🍂And the plantains were burnt yet mushy and swimming in oil, doing the backstroke. 🏊🏽 On the plus side it's a big, beautiful🌸space. The people who work there are cool and I love the bright colors 🌈on outside of building. I hope they find a way to work it out.

Another lively Caribbean restaurant and lounge in our ever-gentrifying neighborhood! I’ve been wanting to check out the Glady’s in Crown Heights for a while and behold - they opened a location in front of my apartment. The restaurant is spacious and “tropically” decorated with TVs in the back area. Good for groups to grab some drinks in Lefferts Gardens or Friday night happy hours with your boo. I had the oxtails. They came out quickly and tasted delicious. I saw the chef from The Food Sermon (another good place to check out) hanging out at the bar, so I think the food might be “legit” too...by affiliation (what do I know? I’m Asian :p). Yes, you can get the same oxtails cheaper a block away from one of the “real” jerk centers on Nostrand Ave. But Glady’s is the place to go when you want to show some friends what “Caribbean food” looks like. Since it’s now around the corner, I’d come back for more. Entree: $9.5-18 before taxes

I like their original location more. The food here is not as good and their wings were smaller and more dry. Also for their happy hour if you get the wings from that menu, then the wing itself is small. Felt a bait and switch

Nice spot for drinks, love the Oval bar. Mine favorite so far sorrel cocktail, yum. Just ask for less ice. Had jerk chicken with peas and rice, de-lish. Create your meal with sides or order meals.

I was so disappointed with my plate of oxtail. Zero flavor, watery sauce, no spice. The plantains were burnt and the curry goat was also mediocre. As a new “caribbean” restaurant entering a historically carribbean neighborhood, you guys really have to do better.
