Lula Bird

Everything I've tried from Lula Bird has been delicious. I love the roasted chicken with the Peruvian green sauce, and the chunks of corn in the cornbread are so good. Today I tried the vegetable terrine and it was also great; the crispy pastry went perfectly with the roasted veggies. Love that there are different sides for each day of the week too -- can't wait to try them all!

stopped by for a quick lunch. got the short rib combo with collards and rice - meat was so tender, rice was fluffy and flavorful and the collards were on point! the chicken sandwich was delicious and just the right amount of spicy. also tried the lentil soup and it was yummy! only thing i didn’t love was the cornbread - it could be a little more sweet and more bready. overall this place truly hits the spot

Lula Bird is so good that I took one bite of everything from my combo and decided I would immediately leave a review. I then realized I would have to stop eating to type this so I waited until I was full. As a vegetarian, I never even looked at the menu because it’s a chicken restaurant that has bird in the name. I’m now kicking myself because I’ve missed out on years of eating this food. I had the vegetarian combo with veggie terrine, mac and cheese, and Lula Bird rice. Everything was a 10/10, but the cornbread oh my god. I would commit crimes for the cornbread. It’s literally perfect. I ordered delivery and this food blew me away. If you are thinking about trying this place stop considering anywhere else and do it.

I’m not sure why it took me 5 years to come here. I’m annoyed with myself! What a perfect healthy quick dinner option! Flavors of everything was delicious. It kinda tasted like thanksgiving minus the sweet potato pie. Def recommend this place if you just want a yummy filling easy healthy dinner option. Pricing is great. Chicken and Roast were both heaven. 10/10 will be back :)

Food was absolutely delicious, reminds me of home cooked meal. Food portions are very generous, more than enough for seconds! My boyfriend got the braised beef short ribs with Mac and collard green and enjoyed them both. I got the quarter chicken with Brussels and potatoes again delicious. Corn bread is off the chain. I may have to back tonight. Service was beyond 🫶🏾

I wish I got a photo before we tore it up but this was the best delivered meal I’ve ever had. I got the 1/4 chicken with rice, squash and cornbread and every single thing tasted like a home cooked delicious meal. The corn bread is sweet and delicious. The chicken was moist and flavourful with a big serving. I cannot believe this gems been in my neighbourhood and I only just tried it. A great lunch spot with varying side dishes throughout the week. Our second time we tried the eggplant stew, collard greens and cous cous. All still delicious. The roasted squash has been my favourite side so far.

If you love herbaceous, flavorful, perfectly seasoned chicken and sides, then this is the restaurant for you! One of my favorite finds in Brooklyn and is surely a staple if you’re in the area. I order once a week at least and try to time it around my favorite sides. They rotate special sides that are easy to taste how each one they care about. Also their cornbread is out of this world! I’m trying to figure out the spice combination on the chicken that gives it such an amazing flavor while also feeling clean on the pallete. The potatoes are the must have go to and if you’re in on a Friday, I recommend the CousCous. Another entree that will blow you away is their short rib! The flavor in one serving with vegetables soaked in the drippings is heavenly! Only downfall is there’s been no seating, so you have to take it home. But honestly it’s so good you’ll walk to their nearest bench to indulge without the wait! It’s that kind of good that you can’t wait to get home 😋
