Really great restaurant. Ended up wandering over here with a few friends. I got the fake duck mango salad and was not disappointed! 5/5, literally perfect. Not soggy at all and perfect spice, sweetness, and savory combo. A few other things to note, though. My friend got the Thai pulled pork and they said that: “The Thai pulled pork sandwich was a little cold and the bottom bun was a little soggy from sitting out a little too long”. My other friend got the Thai herb chicken fried rice and here was their review: “It had a great balance of herbal flavors and spicy flavors. The portion left me rather full, but not heavy. I greatly appreciated the addition of fresh mint on the top as well.” Overall, really great experience and would 100% recommend! Good prices for portion sizing too. Also, AMAZING chocolate cake. So so good.
Visiting from Texas, we wanted to try something we weren't super familiar with so we chose Thai food. Hotel staff recommended Nora Thai and boy are we glad they did!
We asked a few of the restaurant staff for some recommendations. They asked if we liked spicy or non-spicy, which was very thoughtful of them! We went with the spicy route, but also tried a few not-so-spicy dishes. The ambiance was calm and relaxing, certainly a little romantic with the music and the lighting! And the service was wonderful, between the recommendations of the staff as well as the engaging conversation!
My fiance had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and I drank a glass of Sapporo.
Our first course was an order of crab rangoons. They were perfectly fried and crispy with a delicious, warm, creamy crab filling!
The entrees we ordered were:
Crispy Pork Belly with a delicious garlic sauce and Chinese broccoli (not spicy at all!)
Khao-Soy Chicken, a yellow curry and noodle dish that was absolutely phenomenal! (spicy, but not too bad!)
Green Curry Beef, with wonderful flavors of basil, galangal, and green Thai chili. (the spiciest of the 3, and my favorite dish of the night! great heat and depth of flavor!)
The bill came out to $110 before tip for a total of four drinks, an appetizer, and three entrees. Not too shabby!
Thank you, Nora Thai and B for such a great experience!
Nice Thai spot. Bar and sitting area when you walk in and cozy restaurant in the back. The decor and vibes here are great perfect spot for a date night. Food was delicious, the papaya salad knocked our socks off. Curry was flavorful with a perfect amount of spice and the Pad Thai was great. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be back
Spotted this nice looking establishment walking and went in for a drink. They had deals on cocktails. Ended up getting mojito’s that were very good, shrimp egg rolls, and chicken and shrimp dumplings fried, and a shot of casamigos. All of it was tasty. The staff were nice as well. Will be going back.
Foods: authentic, big portion, spicy
Service: there were many people so I don’t blame them.
Drinks: really good
Atmosphere: try walk around the place and see all the ancient status.
Quick lunch at Nora Thai. They have special southern Thai food. Great service. The food was tasty. Dim sum was a bit dried but still yummy!!! Nice atmosphere and decor!!!
Such a cool place 😎
So glad we tried this place. They were the only Thai place open past 10:30pm. For apps, we got the purple dumplings which were great, and the calamari salad which was also soo good. The calamari was cooked to perfection, not rubbery. The Pad Se Ew was delish. And the Vegan Japanese Eggplant was also very good, you can tell the ingredients are fresh. Will definitely be back!!
Authentic Thai food in a very nice decor indoors. We have enjoyed their dinning experience numerous times. They use Thai scale for spiciness so go easy. Haven't ordered anything we didn't like. A must visit if you are in Williamsburg. Today we ordered mango salad, Drunken noodle and Tom Yong noodle soup.
One of my favorite Thai places in NYC! This is my second time coming here for dinner and tried their pad see ew, crab friend rice and massaman curry, papaya salad and tom-kha soup. Very satisfied with everything and the vibes are immaculate!!
Great food, great interior!
The Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle) lunch special is highly recommended. The rice noodles are one of the highest quality I’ve had around the area. Joyfully chewy, and cooked flavorfully.
I didn’t have a chance to dine-in. But, during my short visit, the interior design is unique and definitely has its own vibe.
