Al Punto Sofrito is the name and I believe it's different ownership food was fresh and excellent and people where walking in & out meaning it's busy and turnover on food. I had the beef stew w/ white rice beans decent portion i had to STOP her with the rice food was delicious meat was tender not rubbery. 10 🌟

When I go here I only ever get the roast pork with red beans and orange rice. I've tried some of their other stuff and none of it is really as good as the roast pork they make which is quite juicy and tender. I've never gotten a smile or a greeting from the big dude (the owner?) who's always there, but the serving ladies are usually friendly. In terms of the kinds of food you can get in the neighborhood this place is a staple for me. Oh and I'm pretty sure the food they serve is Dominican, not Spanish.

Ordered through Uber Eats and the order came fast and still hot. The family combo deal is a good bang for your buck because it comes with a LOT of food...good enough for 3 people. The roast chicken came moist and flavorful. The fried chicken chunks were cooked crispy and delicious. The yellow rice was fluffy and the beans was it’s perfect partner. The only complaint I have is that the Dominican Cake was not fresh. It came pre packaged from a bakery in Queens and had an expiration date in May. Besides that small issue, we were happy with the food and will definitely order again!

This place more take out than dine in. 5 in my party, and everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. They are very friendly and patient. We do not speak the language, nor are familiar with every dish on display on their counter. They took the time to explain, despite the long line. Which was never ending, from the time we arrived, to the time we left. From the parnil, to chicharones, beef stew, and burritos....everthing off the charts!

-1 star did not feel welcomed to the restaurant at all. Pretty disorganized when taking orders and it is asking for disaster when orders get messed up. Other than that, the food is standard from the Dominican food up in Harlem and Mexican food up in Harlem as well. Now, their burritos are subpar and chicken is very dry in the burritos. I would say Chipotle has more flavor than their burrito, and the price is similar. If I were to pick a place for burritos, Chipotle is better for just a buck more, it is not dry as much as the chicken in the burrito. The interior of the restaurant is very small, three tables, 6 chairs and two more spot near the window. Would not suggest to bring big groups of friends there to eat, but it is a take out place. Would I tell people to go there? Not likely, this place is definitely not worth driving to if your from Queens/Bronx/Manhattan. However, if you are from Brooklyn near the area, it is worth to check it out if you have not tried any Spanish food at all or to satisfy your Spanish food cravings. Quetzal > Taco bell hands down and about the same or if not worse than Chipotle. The sanitation grade is pending as of 10/9/2014 for those interested in that.
