Consistency is key...it’s always great to know that when you come in the food will be the same day in and day out. Have been coming here for years and I am never disappointed.
The place it self can get pretty busy during evening hours and there take out/delivery is always busy. If I order from home it can take over an hour to get the food.
There are a lot of great things to get but my favorites have become the Magic roll and spicy yellowtail hand rolls with crunch.

A quiet place with delicious sushi. The chef puts little rice in rolls, so you can taste the stuffing/filling. Fresh tasty rolls and good service.

Very quiet and mysterious atmosphere, giving you full relaxation. Their green tea is a natural and tasty.
Regarding the food, can't say anything. Anything you're ordered from the menu, going to be fresh and will have an amazing taste.
About a service I would like to say separate. Waitresses very attentive and helpful, plus their service is so unobtrusive that sometimes you don’t even notice how they come or go.

Hayashi is by far the best Sushi (if not the "bang for your buck") in the immediate Sheepshead Bay area (I'm talkin' Train Station). A little more expensive than most, but not much (think Masakari),and infinitely better quality and presentation in my opinion (Chikurin). Simply put, I'm thankful to live down the street from this little gem. Go. Go. Go.

Best dam sushi place ever. Chris and his wife make you feel like family. As with any sushi place go there to eat . They all lose a little if you take it out. Not only is the food fresh but the presentation is fantastic.

Never order from them when it's raining . We received our food in two hours and all the rolls and sushi peaces looked mashed and mixed in together. We couldn't even understand what we were eating! When we called, they were rude and confrontational.
