Glad I got the chance to check out Cassette shortly after they opened this season.
Dropped by on Sunday around 1 and was glad that we were seated right away. The ambiance was lovely and vibrant but had the low key Brooklyn vibe everyone wants at the end of the weekend.
I had the avocado toast with an egg on top and my husband had the poached pear yogurt with granola. The avocado toast was a decent sized portion but in my opinion on the smaller side. The bread was also a bit too crispy. I think they could have used a thinner, wider piece because all in all it felt kind of compact. My husband loved his granola but the portion was teeny!!! They brought to out in a bowl and it was barely half full. He gobbled it up in about 3 minutes flat.
I think they have a few things to smooth over. For example no salt and pepper on the table. Our coffees took forever to get refilled and there wasn't enough milk for both of ours. The service was pleasant and warm so I think they just need a little work. Also, the prices online from their menu were lower than what was put in front of us. Didn't like this and they should update it.
I will be back for sure but will prepare to spend a little more since portions are tiny. But, really glad this place opened in the hood!
This place is currently functioning as a Three's Brewery pop-up. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is very cool and casual. Definately stop by if you're in the area!
Very good food, not too expensive, nice interior decoration, very nice people... Respectful! Highly recommended!
