Oggi Pizza Bar

My husband and I order from this place regularly (at least twice a month). This time we decided to pick up our food. When we got there, we changed our minds and wanted to stay. We didn't realize that they had already packaged our food. The staff happily accommodated us with a smile. We were so pleased with their flexibility and excellent customer service! As for the food, I haven't ordered anything I haven't loved. For pizza, we've ordered the The King, Hi, I'm Enzo Prospect Park and The Inferno. For sandwiches we've ordered the Brooklyn and When in Rome. We love the wings and the fried mozzarella...nothing we've eaten here has disappointed us.

I went to Oggi with a family member and we split three items which were all beyond delicious. My favorite was the american, a vodka sauced 12" thin crust pizza we started with to whet our appetites. The other two items were equally fabulous: the orecchiette pasta with broccoli rabe, sausage, garlic and oil and the meatball parmigiana panini. We had a few glasses of wine on tap but I think I'd just get a bottle next time to save a few dollars even though it was super reasonable. Decor is lovely and inviting, the staff is attentive (at times a little too but I may have be irritable because of the music, see my note) and was overall a lovely meal. Note: If you're not a live music fan or you have sensitive ears (the latter applies to me), Oggi has live music on some evenings and the front space is rather small for it at least at the volume the keyboard and accompanying musician was, so I'd be unlikely to return when they were performing.

Let me start by saying that this place is by far the best Italian restaurant in Brooklyn and I will go as far to say possibly even the entire city. I am from Brooklyn born and raised and have been to every pizzeria/ Italian restaurant in Brooklyn and this ranks up there in the best I've ever eaten. I ordered the King pie which was basically slices of heaven. I love the small amounts of honey drizzled on the pizza which I never experienced before. This place has so many varieties of pizza that are original to the location. I then spoke to the owner or manager Tommy who was kind enough to take time from his busy schedule and explain all the different items off the menu to me. I have now tried almost all the pizzas as well as the dishes they make here and each time I go I am more pleased and surprised that it just keeps getting better. Do yourself a favor and come in to Oggi's and try this food you will not be disappointed except for the fact you will be spending more money trying to eat everything on the menu.
