Located in Brooklyn, this place is unique because of the indian flavors it provides in the ice cream range. The shop is a small one but with a cute ambiance, the servers are really friendly and happy to guide you through their menu whereas are really patient with their customers. I was surprised to see the Diwali special ice cream menu as they had made ice cream out of favorite Diwali sweets such as ghugra, peda, kaju katli, ras Malai.
I tried these 4 flavors first, and settled for peda and ras Malai. The ice cream was really creamy as their name (Malai = cream) suggests.
Overall it was a unique experience, also it was interesting to see they having unique flavors in the pint size and one which really caught my eye was red chilli chocolate. Hope to try more next time!
Delicious ice cream shop with unique flavors. We tried a couple of flavors and decided that our favorite is Mango and Creme. The new flavors - fig on fig and apricot mace - are also delicious! Do get that waffle crumbles sprinkled on top of the ice cream if you want a little extra crunch. Staff there is always friendly too.
Great fusion of Indian and American flavors! Ordered the Mango Malai icecream and loved it. It was a big portion and was very refreshing on a hot day. The aesthetic of the store is very appealing. Definitely recommend to bring your family and kids here for a sweet treat you won’t regret!
A must visit icecream shop in NYC. They have rich flavors and icecream is of good quality. Our personal favorites are - Turkish Coffee, Rose and Sea salt Vanilla. Definitely try rose and Turkish coffee ..they are delicious.
They also sell some ice cream tubs, kulfi pops etc. Location is really prime next to Little Island..so you can enjoy views with 🍦. Definitely must visit place!!
Great icecream place - the orange fennel flavour was brilliant. There are a few sorbet/vegan options available which aren’t well advertised. The only disappointment was the rose flavour icecream - it did not taste like rose at all.
actually really tasty and unique selection of ice cream. I tried several flavors and the cardamom was really intense, so I went with the chikoo, which was nutty and sweet and tasty, and also the mango and cream, which was like a mango lassi wrapped into an ice cream. ice cream. All the ice cream flavors were not too sweet and very good flavor and potency and a great spot for a delicious cone.
Loved this place! Loved the innovation of infusing Indian flavors in ice creams. We got the pineapple pink pepper corn and chocolate with chili. Both were fabulous. Would love to try their seasonal ice creams and other flavors like pura polo and gajar halwa. Will surely be back.
Many south Asian flavors. Really enjoyed the mango cream and cardamom pistachio crumble. The place is popular so it's almost always packed.
The best ice cream I've ever had! The flavors are so unique. Unfortunately they don't allow samples but I recommend trying every flavor they have and you won't be disappointed!
Recommend:
Rose with Cinnamon Roasted Almonds
Sea Salt Vanilla
Passionfruit Cilantro
... And many more!
also they started to provide soft serve. I did a swirl of pistachio and saffron. Very creamy and dense. I highly recommend!
Malai was an unexpected gem that we were lucky to stumble upon. The diverse range of flavors and authentic dishes truly made this a standout spot. I highly recommend this unique restaurant for anyone looking to try something new and different from another culture. It's a must-visit destination that left me wanting more, and I only wish there were more spots like this in the city!
