These are the best bagels in New York and really, anywhere. I am an Ess-a-bagel fan, obviously, but these are better. I hope they make zip up hoodies, t-shirts, hats, because I would buy them! haha. I come to New York every few months to buy 2-3 dozen to bring home to Philly and freeze.

Yes, you will wait in line. But it is def worth every minute. These bagels are the real deal- slightly sweet with a perfect crust and light,chewy inside. The pumpernickel bagels are nothing short of an act of GOD they are so good. Skip the chains and fake bagel places and treat yourself to a real neighborhood gem.

I go out of my way to visit this bagel shop because it is worth the trip. Bagels are always fresh; never more than a couple of hours from the visible ovens. There's usually a line, because the place is great, but it moves quickly, due to an efficient staff. While writing this, I polished off a bacon, egg, and mozzarella sandwich on a sesame bagel that made me feel very good and ready for the day ahead of me. Prices are very reasonable, too! They use Boar's Head provisions, and have all the standard bagel shop fare, as well. All of this is packed into a little tiny place worth your time and money.
