This is the pizza of my childhood and it always hits. I love sitting at those old school tables with a slice and fountain soda. I was so happy that it matched my memories. A solid choice in Bay Ridge.

So basically you buy 3 pounds of ground beef mixed with vegetables from Balady Super market in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn then you take it to Elegante Pizzeria and ask him for large pie. Don't forget to hand him 20 bucks. The result is that massive Hawawshi. Enjoy it.

This place offers a decently delicious pizza pie! There's something subtle about the sauce that distinguishes it from others. The crust is surprisingly crunchy in all the right spots & each bite just gets better.

The last 2 pies I bought made it all the way to Syracuse, as a surprise for our daughter and her family.

I noticed the shop showed up in a "best of" list - they deserve it. Excellent Sicilian slice at a simple old school slice shop. You don't have to go to a brick oven joint (they certainly can be great) to get good pizza. I guess there's a reason why they've been around since 1979.
