I adore this spot! Ever since I relocated to this neighborhood two years ago, I've exclusively been getting sushi from here. They offer the finest sushi, and the owner and staff are amazing! They are always incredibly kind, and the food is scrumptious and reasonably priced, plus the portions are generous. On my recent visit, they surprised us with complimentary ice cream and sang happy birthday even though we didn't ask for anything extra (thank you, Tony!). Super grateful for them!

Small little hole in the wall. Has about 4 tables to sit down at, and has only 1 waitress. She was very cute and nice and they have the people making sushi visible but in the back. They run a lot of delivery’s so the place is flooded with door dashers, so it’s not as romantic as it could be. I haven’t had sushi in a while and I went in and ordered the fire roll, which includes salmon. And I can tell you from personal experience that this fish was FRESH, it had a very good taste and it mixed very well with its other components. It costed me $15 after lunch hour. And it had only 8 large pieces. I would come back here. The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because their menu pricing is a lie. My roll was supposed to be $12 but instead they charged me $15. When I asked the waitress why she charged me so much. She said “because of tax” and there is no way in hell that $12 taxed equals to $15. But for what it’s worth I will still come back, the quality is still definitely their. All I would like to see is for the menu to reflect its actual pricing.

This is a great spot to get Sushi. Cute little neighborhood spot. Since the pandemic it's not so pleasant to dine in because they have a table set up in front for deliveries and pickups. The set up takes away from the dining experience. Overall the Sushi is very good 👍🏻

I got takeout and it was so delicious, the bento box was so worth it - coming with soup, salad and amazing components. I haven’t been able to find a chicken teriyaki bento box this good in a long time.

Wow sushi Yu is sushi YUM! (I work in advertising, wow feel free to use that gold bar I just spit down. Hells yeah) so anyway, sushi Yu is good. Miso soup is great. Ice cream mochi is dope. Sushi is sushi. 4/5 Stars. I think they could use better interior decor but LOVVVVVE the live fish

This is my neighborhood staple. The owner and the people who work there are the nicest and most welcoming folks. The sushi is delicious; whatever I order from the menu has been so good. I order from here at least twice a week.

Beautiful and delicious! The food looks and tastes great! I tried the Christmas roll - it was delightful! The salmon sushi tastes fresh with good texture. The veggie gyoza is so good! (Love seeing the pieces of edamame inside.)

Good. Small place, nice staff. Very good lunch offers: $10.5 for 3 rolls, miso soup and salad; $8.5 for 2 rolls, miso and salad. Rolls are delicious.

Absolutely love Sushi Yu! Generous and delicious portions, only place in town for a Dinner Bento (great price too!) and they even called to let me know the order was ready (super fast as well). Highly recommend

Pretty solid sushi and quite a few great options. We ordered the Mango Tango roll (which was amazing), the holiday roll, and the pork gyoza. Everything tasted great overall and the portions were solid. We weren't huge fans of the tempura ice cream, but would definitely order from here again

Very quaint sushi spot, ambience might feel different in the later evening. Came in for the lunch special around 3 on a Friday. Place was empty. That's ok with me. I ordered the spicy tuna and the salmon avocado roll. This is some of the best sushi I've had. The fish is fresh and the pieces are large. The lunch comes with soup, 2 pcs Shumai, and edamame (a little salty, but now that I know I'll ask to sprinkle less on them). The dressing on the salad was very good. I paired the meal with a glass of plum wine, delicious. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I would come back if I'm in this part of Brooklyn again. No photos, I was hungry, but plated nice.

I love this place! I’ve been coming here for 6 years. The owner is really nice, so is everyone else. The sushi is yummy here:) Try the volcano roll. Portions are big and the prices are awesome. Have not changed much after the years went by.

I’ve ordered over 50 times from this restaurant on Seamless over the past 2 years and never had a bad experience. The food is always good and delivery is perfect. Update: I changed my review to 4 stars from 5. They must have changed chefs at some point in the past year and a half or so. It’s still okay but not nearly as good. Also, the prices have gone up too much, about $.25-$.50 every few months.
