Walked in for dinner on a Wednesday night (6pm) and was seated right away.
Food was delicious, would highly recommend! Loved the restaurant vibes, it felt intimate. Staff was friendly and provided great recommendations.
Must try place for delicious Ethiopian food. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. I couldn't decide on one dish so I got the sharing platter. All of it was great! Especially the doro wot. Must get a healthy portion of injera to eat all of the delicious food. Will come back
I don’t know what Daniel was smoking when he posted his review, because THIS place is a VIBE. Super chic interior in a vibrant atmosphere. We were greeted warmly by a familial, welcoming staff and seated immediately. Server suggested spot on recommendations. Food and cocktails (strong) were fantastic. A welcome addition for the Clinton Hill neighborhood!
& I hope Daniel sees this, too.
Friendly service and a cozy interior. The food was deliciously spiced and the lamb was really nice quality meat. Will be returning!
I’m not sure what part of Bati I like most, because there’s a lot. On my block, the most lovely people, food that is so good on the stomach, drinks that make you feel less guilty for drinking. We’re so happy that you are here. If you want a special night out or just a couple drinks and bites with an amazing happy hour, put Bati to the top of your list.

We had an enjoyable meal at bati Ethiopian kitchen. We really loved the spicy crispy injera bread, the stewed chicken, the beef stew, the lamb stew and all of the vegan dishes. I love how dramatic the combination platter looks!
I enjoyed the Ethiopian beer I had, It was very light and refreshing.
I'm not sure I consider getting one chicken drumstick in a chicken dish a good value. Seemed a bit short. Also the sauteed beef dish was tough.
We left fat and happy.
Bati offers a lesson for those seeking. We ordered our vegetarian platter for 2. It arrived and we thanked the lord for this blessing. Along the way, one of our brethren, the injera, rolled off the plate onto the table. It’s fate was sealed. Confiscated and never replaced.
But it is within this fickle duality that batí offers its lesson. As equally as the lord giveth, the lord taketh and for this lesson, my deepest gratitudes.
Super friendly staff. We enjoyed sitting outside but the inside looked nice as well. We shared the Doro Wett with lentils and greens. The chicken was tender and the sauce was delicious. Wish there had been more. A lot of it was soaked up by the injera it was served on. I would ask for it to be served separately next time. Overall I would definitely go back and try other dishes.
Amazing meal in a cozy space. The service was attentive and the meal was absolutely delicious. Great for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike!
I'm usually not a fan of Ethiopian food but Bati has 1000% changed my mind! The food and drinks were delicious yet affordable! The owner was there and was extremely sweet as well. The space is great to meet up with friends or a first date. 10/10 recommend eating here!!!
