Don't come here. The people aren't friendly. The backyard in the backyard isn't a great place to hang out. The cheddar jalapeno biscuit isn't buttery and savory and amazing. And Paul always gives me the shifty eyes. If this was a bar in middle earth, there'd be a place to tie up your eagle out front. The French toast casserole reminds me of the first time I saw "Purple Rain". Five stars.

Great, friendly and fast service, available seating in the garden at 11:30 on Sunday morning, tasty selection of brunch treats, not "cheap" but par for the course in Park Slope.

This place is a cute hole in the wall with a backyard (hence the name). The atmosphere is laid back and casual. Inside you will find a small bar and about a handful of tables. This is a great place to meet a friend for brunch. I went with a large group of 12 on a late Sunday afternoon. Our party took up the complete back end of the backyard. The outdoor seating is cozy and has a relaxing ambiance. The weather was beautiful on this day so it made the experience that much better! We made a "reservation" and when we got there, our table wasn't ready. When we were finally seated, there weren't enough seats. Our kind waitress pulled tables and umbrellas together to create a comfortable place to eat. Mimosas were served 1/4 of the way full in a 16oz wine glass. As the rounds of mimosas kept rolling in, the glasses became 1/2 way full and then 3/4 full (I promise this is not the mimosas talking). Very strange! Anyway, the food was delicious. About $12-16 per dish. The phat stackz is an AMAZING cardiac attack on a plate - pancakes, bacon, eggs and cheese... YUM! Minor inconveniences but I would return.

The bartenders are really friendly here, and as long as you don't stray from their menu of cocktails, they make great drinks. Food ranges from good to great based on the specific dish. The sliders and whiskey flight is a fun good time. Great place to hang out and chill for a while.

This place has the most appropriate name ever - Backyard. It really does feel like your backyard. Just before it began to get cool, I came for dinner. We sat in the backyard, enjoying their lobster sliders paired with New England clam chowder. The cocktail I had was made with mint, which I watched the bartender pick from the backyard. The sliders were on the pricier side - $15/2 sliders - but the overall experience? Couldn't be beat.
