I will preface this review with, this is only about the service and brunch menu. I haven't been for dinner. Scriptum Brooklyn. Enter Italy and then some. Scriptum debuted their brunch menu this past weekend so of course a few friends and I headed over to try what was a tale out of paradise. Walking in, you will be welcomed by Executive Chef Antonio who is a total sweetheart and will make you feel like you just entered his home for an exclusive meal. It's all very surreal. The space is very large with some of it being rustic and pastoral while in the back there is a modern looking, very sunny area with a beautiful skylight. Wine displayed on all the walls, totally brings the energy to life and you know you've entered Italy in the heart of Williamsburg. We sat down and ordered almond milk lattes and within moments were off to a very delicious, authentic and incredible brunch. We ordered the entire menu so I'll tell you the highlights. The Saint Germain blueberry pancakes was spectacular. The outside was perfectly crisp and the inside soft as butter. In between the stacks they had melted blueberry and topped with a lemon basil sorbet it was absolutely flawless. Organic local yogurt, chef made granola, goji berries, coconut, blueberries, dried apricots. If I tell you all these ingredients are made in house would you believe me? Well, guess what! They're made in house and you'll be begging for more when done. Soft frittata of leeks and vegetables, truffle vinaigrette salad, parmesan fondue. I would describe this as something inside of gastronomic dream. When cutting the frittata, the knife just smoothly cut right through it. The taste was pure, fresh and incredible. (This is an absolute must get). Watercress salad, vermouth apple, dried apricots, walnuts, bourbon-Honey Dressing, poached eggs. One of the top brunch salads I've ever tried. So summery, fresh, organic and healthy. And of course tasty. The decision to pair these exact fruits and nuts together is total perfection. Avocado toast, scrambled eggs, sunflowers seeds, spicy oil. I know you might ask what can possibly be different about this avocado toast? How does it compare to every other avocado toast out there? On the scale of top avocado toast this is unreachable. Totally on the top of the ladder. 3 eggs any style, apple wood smoked bacon, chef fries, Mediterranean dadolata. By far my favourite eggs any style done right! Guys, if you need fantastic, crispy, out of this world bacon --- this is where you should be heading to right now. The spaghetti put me in a foodgasmic foodcoma. I can't breath right now just thinking about that truffle goodness mixed with the spaghetti. If you don't get it, you're never going to understand what true gastronomic eats is. These were my highlights although everything was super delicious and if I were to go back (which I am) I would order the entire menu again. We ended our meal with incredible desserts such as tiramisu, lavender creme bulee (must get) and BOMBOLONCINI italian donuts, with cream anglais (vanilla) and chocolate dipping sauce. All 3 were so good I was sad when it ended but that only makes me want to come back again soon. I am amazed at the precision and dedication the chef has to his menu and appreciate how much he cares about his customers. If you're looking for your next brunch/dinner spot, bookmark this immediately. This is where it's at.

I don’t know why this place is classified on Facebook as a “wine bar” because this place is way more versatile than that. Great food, craft cocktails warm environment and a welcoming staff. Can’t wait to go back. #Cheers

Excellent service, the owner roams around and puts out a great personal vibe, kitschy decor, easy to get a seat. The food was really well priced, reasonable portions. The gems of the menu include the mozzarella and the beet gnochi. Seems like a great place for groups.

Gnocchi was good, very good service, although it was hard to get to. It's not the best Italian in the city, but it's a good experience and a good date night option.

I loved this restaurant. I went with my fiance and we ordered a pizza and a pasta, as well as two appetizers. The food was outstanding. It reminded me of restaurants I had been to in Italy while living there. They recommended a barolo that was absolutely delicious as well. The wait staff were excellent and delivered a fine dining experience in a cozy relaxed setting. I will be back many times...

I am a European woman. I got used to restaurants with good food, free space, quiet music and excellent wine. If this is your first date, if you want to be with your love in silence and together. this place is for you! But if you want to invite friends for your birthday, then super pizza is guaranteed!

I loved my server- Marco I want to say? Either way, the entire staff was so welcoming to my Boyfriend and I. They made us feel like royalty, with delicious food, dessert, wine, and a wonderful atmosphere. Clean, delicious, and incredible ambience!

This place is legit! They have a great brunch deal... $23.00 for a large boozy drink, a big salad and an entre. Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious. I suggest trying the mozzarella salad, out of this world!

Large place. Came across it on a sunday afternoon when out with our dog. They are dog friendly so it worked out. Staff is attentive. They try to serve healthy so to some the food flavoring may be bland on the brunch menu.

Transport yourself from Brooklyn straight to Italy at this cozy new restaurant on Williamsburg's waterfront. Owner Pietro Sasso will make you feel welcome and his new wait staff are eager to please. The interior is charming, with a long wooden bar and wood tables. The menu offers a wide selection of pizzas, homemade pastas and main dishes with classic Italian ingredients in inventive combinations. For our appetizer a large filet of tuna was perfectly seared and accompanied by fresh artichoke and green beans. The homemade gnocchi were soft, delicate and delicious with prosciutto and Taleggio. A simple Cornish hen was nicely paired with roasted garlic and Yukon gold potatoes. The "Williamsburg" dessert creatively adds figs to a chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream. This restaurant is a wonderful addition to this increasingly food-centric neighborhood.

A very delightful, and slightly off "normal Italian American food" definitely worth visiting. Fantastic service, interesting ambience. Looking forward to more trips here.
