Great omelettes, great service. My girlfriend and I are regulars - we have breakfast here almost every weekend. We order some combo of the California, Garden, and Spanish omelettes, which are always well-made and offered with the healthier option of grits instead of potatoes, something we haven't found at other diners. It makes for a very hearty, satisfying meal at a reasonable price.
We love the photos of old Park Slope on the walls, which prompted us to buy a book full of the same. Service is always prompt, friendly, and courteous with plenty of coffee refills. There's a second room for overflow, so even at peak brunch hour, there's no wait for seating. Eat here once, and you'll want to return!
It's a 24 hour diner, you know?. The dudes working there are very nice, and it's open 24 hours. And the menu has just about any kind of diner food you can think of. I wish I'd noticed they have amaretto french toast on the menu ("challah bread dipped in rich amaretto batter"), though my gyro sandwich was tasty (if a ridiculous mess that wouldn't stay in my drunken hands). The seasoned waffle fries are delicious, and they have ranch they're happy to serve you. The regular fries are good too, though you should really just get the waffle ones.
The only problem is all the regret you'll feel the next day, you know, if you're like me and have such feelings after a calorically explosive day of debauchery.
Oh and the California omelette sucks as the "guacamole" is a travesty, so don't order that.
5 Star Diner. Everything about it is great.
Food:Great
Service:Great
Waiters:Great (Remember to leave a nice tip)
This is perfection as far as diners go in Park Slope.
Service is so pleasant and cordial, you'll forget you're in NYC. Food is on point, prices are on point. A place deserving of numerous, repeat visits and attempting to taste everything on the menu would be a rewarding accomplishment🤤
Like others have said, this place has great service to go with solid diner quality food. I had the French toast side with a side of bacon and home fries. It was only $2 extra for the bacon! Seems like you’re lucky to get 2 slices for that price these days but FAD provides 4 slices.
I would say the only other worthwhile diner in the neighborhood is Little Purity on 7th Ave. When you’re looking for a no frills diner that is friendly on the budget, all the other diners in the neighborhood seem to either have one of the following: bad food, bad service, over-priced, or too fancy. There isn’t a better diner diner place in the neighborhood if you’re not looking for a “fancy diner” experience
Food is absolutely delicious customer service was great and on the delivery was very fast will always be my first choice of diners in Brooklyn they used to be 24 hours I guess no longer. That's a bummer but if available this is my first stop
The perfect diner experience - delicious pancakes, friendly and speedy service, unlimited coffee, the list goes on! Would highly recommend
I came out for a steak dinner which was awesome and Service was great.
This is a place to have authentic American breakfast in Brooklyn. Located in a good and convinent location. The food tastes great and the people serving them are great. I had a nice experience. Would definitely recommend this place
I've only eaten the classic breakfast there (3 egg scramble, bacon, potatoes, toast) a few times but it was always fast, hot, and very well done. It's a clean, efficient diner that is hard to find these days. Will be back the next time I'm in town.
Pretty standard diner situation. I had an ok omelette with an ok coffee for an ok price. Like I said, standard diner situation. Also, bring some cash if you're eating alone - they have a $20 minimum for cards.
A fine example of the NY/NJ Greek diner. I give 5 stars not because it’s fancy (it’s not) but because it executes perfectly what it’s supposed to be. Fast, friendly service, big variety of menu items, good value, fresh hot coffee at all times, and all the things a diner is supposed to have. Food is always good and it comes out fast.
Went on my first date here. Food was good. We were the only ones there so can't talk much about ambiance. Service was nice. I thought this place closed at 11 because I was looking at multiple restaurants that day and got confused. Ended up staying right until the last second of closing and they didn't make a fuss. Stepped on the poor guy's mopped floor😬
