The food and drinks are incredible. I highly recommend the grilled cheese! The only issue is that it gets incredibly crowded and hard to consistently get the attention of the bartenders to order. However, it is definitely worth checking out!
Easily one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood. Not just for a movie, but for drinks and an easy dinner. I'll pop in without even seeing a movie all the time.
Tons of seating, an awesome, warm art deco aesthetic, and a great menu. I can't recommend Syndicated enough.
They also have fantastic movie trivia every other Thursday. Check out their Instagram for more details.
Super cool theater/bar, drinks were very good, food was usually pretty good, we got the wings and nacho fries a lot. The service was extremely hit or miss. There were times I walked out after waiting 10-15 minutes at the bar watching one person run around and never taking my order. Service in the theater was usually okay. Overall decent spot to drop in, get a drink and watch a movie.
I've been coming here since they opened. I can remember when were gutting the warehouse that is now Syndicated Bar and Theatre. It gives such effortlessly kitch vibes, is never trying too hard and always an e joyable experience. They play an assortment of current as well as older movies. So if you're in the mood for nostalgia, check out what's playing and pass through.
Just started adding a new cocktail to their menu: the Ube Thurman — probably the best cocktail I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious and incredible. 🤤 getting it every single time I come now.
The food is phenomenal and they have an amazing happy hour. It is one of my favorite places to go for dates since they always have two different things playing on the back wall and so many options to eat from meat to vegan. Never have been disappointed here. All the bartenders are very knowledgeable and they have a wide selection of drinks.
FOOD:
1.) Burger w cheddar = pretty good but has a particular taste…I didn’t order the “impossible burger” but somehow it kinda tastes like a plant based burger still? Doesn’t taste like ground beef patty, more like a shredded pork texture.
2.) side salad = it’s good
SERVICE:
QR code menu and order from the bar only. Food orders get a table number. I like that they have happy hour 5-7p and wine Wednesday with wine bottles $10 off.
ATMOSPHERE:
Outside is unassuming, just a single theater neon light, which I like. Very small narrow doors from the corner of the building, makes you think it’s not a real bar/restaurant/theater establishment. Inside is quite spacious almost agoraphobic, would be great for groups so note to self for the future. Has an overall kind of Art Deco vibe in the decor too, and two large projected music video or a film on the wall.. old punk rock playing… large center bar, and some booth seating surrounding.
Love thats it’s near some thrift stores so you can get your shopping at L train vintage nearby or meander to other happenings.
Doorway entrance with showtimes and ooh looks like they have weekly events like bachelor watching party on Mondays 8p! Or movie trivia or watching the Oscar’s. That’s great!
really nice theater , watched a movie while eating! Prices are good , service is great!
Excellent cocktails, we came in with some time to kill before our movie started and only set out to have a drink each. We ended up trying the whole drink menu. I recommend this course of action as the cocktails are very unique so the only overlap is that they are tasty. If they still have the gochuhang cocktail don't be a-scared of it, it is not a frivolous dare drink but a well balanced treat.
Great bar/movie theater/restaurant. The natural lighting inside makes the place pleasant and warm. Food and service were both great, popcorn was amazing. We didn’t get drinks, BUT the cocktails looked delicious. Maybe next time!
Combining restaurant and bar with theater and entertainment, Syndicated is a must-visit spot for anyone home to or simply visiting Bushwick. Its sense of atmosphere and ambiance is warm and inviting which allows visitors to remain distant to their own discretion or involved with others to have an enjoyable social experience. For the menu alone at a bare minimum, anyone remotely interested should come.
My favorite theater anywhere. Incredible bar + theater + restaurant + community/event space in Brooklyn. Handedly one of the best places anywhere in the area for a night out. Amazing venue with excellent vibes, delicious food, and boozy drinks. There's one traditional screen with well-curated movies ranging from recent, popular movies to more obscure indies. The bar area has two projector screens for weekly events (like Bachelorette viewing parties) and there's a parklet outside with yet another screen.
The staff are all fantastic, but especially the owner Tim who has a genuine passion for film and creating a space that improves the community around it.
Great low key cocktail and cinema spot and a hidden gem in the neighborhood. The hot mess chicken, a standout on the menu, is one of the best chicken sandwiches in Brooklyn. Great for dates, drinks after work, and all cinema buffs.
Such a wonderful spot. Saw Oldboy with a date in October 2023 and was enamored with Syndicated starting with the outside. Such an awe inspiring, classic neon theater marquee invites you towards an unassuming entrance. Gorgeous tiling leads into the bar space which we didn't have time to chill in. As far as I'm aware there's one lecture style theater in the back. Seats are comfy, drinks are innovative and tasty, and the food is good to snack on but I would probably get food somewhere else next time. The food is amazing but it's more of a limited pub menu. Speaker system is great and the screen is great. Not amazing but great. I recommend trying to get there early for the 3rd row I believe cause the sight lines as you go up aren't the best. Overall Syndicated is a place dripping with a love for film but don't go in expecting your high class ipic or Nighthawk but rather not only a theater/bar/kitchen for watching movies but hanging with people that love film just as much as you do.
One of my favorite single screen movie houses in NYC.
Great space, great menu options, beverage selections and your never sit behind a tall person who could block your view!!! The dine in options in the theater are cute intimate and couples with the waitress service you don't miss a single thing.
Outdoor movies when the weather is warm is also an extra option.
Favorite spot for so many things from date night to see a movie and grab dinner(food is amazing). To trivia night to grabbing cocktails before heading to your dinner reservation. Which their new cocktail menu is so yummy
Great location and great deals! Always showing a great selection of films. Happy hour is amazing. I always go for the shot and beer combo while my lady gravitates towards the artisan cocktails! The management is very polite and you always have enough space at the bar. Great setting. Movies are only $7 per person as of this post. Great selection of Modern American cuisine. Great decor. One of my go to spots in East Williamsburg for a date!
We popped our head in to check the vibe and were impressed with the amount folks hanging out here during the day. Vegan items are clearly labeled on the menu. Brussels sprouts were pretty good, but wish the portion was bigger
Great Atmosphere, Unique Drinks, & Delicious Food. This Is My First Time Experiencing Dinner At The Movie Theater 🎭. Great Spot For A Date Night. Impeccable Service 🫶
