I made a reservation here 11/16 for my birthday and when I came in I was automatically seated with my party. It was a great experience, there was live music , the drinks were good, the food was even more amazing. My server name was Julia and she was great I really appreciated how she wasn’t the type of server to hover over her table. She accommodated to every single one of our requests. I ordered the roundabout and it was SOOOO GOOD and very filling! The only con about the experience was that they did not have Apple Pay, so that’s definitely something they should incorporate considering the fact that a lot of guests use Apple Pay or even Google pay. But nevertheless, I had a very good time and the people there were friendly.

This is the best restaurant I tried during my NY trip. This restaurant is nice. It’s black owned. I ordered the oxtail. It was delicious. I had the nutty dread and rum punch drink which were good too. If you like coconut you’ll love the nutty dread drink. If I come back to NY I have to come here.

I chose this place to have my bday dinner with friends, and I'm glad I did. The restaurant had a warm feel and beautiful decor. The drinks were great and the food was amazing. The only thing was the service; it almost felt as though there was only one or possibly two wait staff for the entire restaurant. Let's just say we had to wait a good while for drinks and more so for food. Other than that, it was awesome.

This took me back to Jamaica 🇯🇲 food was great. I had the D roundabout which is jerk chicken, ox tails, curry goat, rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. It's enough for 2 ppl and everything was good. We were a party of 9 and no one was disappointed. The staff were excellent there was a live DJ at 2p. The drinks were amazing a few of us had rum punch .

I went for a friend’s birthday and it was really enjoyable. The happy hour is only in the bar section. The food came out very quickly and drinks were tasty. I also came a few years ago after my nieces christening for brunch and had a great time then too!

The food was great, I got the oxtails and would highly recommend them. If you’re in the mood for a drink, try the Iron Man it is another great offer by the restaurant. The staff was nice, the atmosphere was nice, nothing out of the extraordinary; but the food was pretty good and enough to share

I had a great first time at this location. It was nice & clean, bathrooms too!! Romantic vibe with subtle lighting, great music & delicious food & drinks. All the things that I love to make my date night even more special. I will definitely be back again to try more on the menu. We had the escovitch snapper & calamari (very flavorful), spring rolls & plantains. All came out hot & fresh & nicely seasoned. Everything was perfect & our server too!

(Last visited 3/4/2022.) Hanging out in Brooklyn with some friends and they mentioned checking out this place. I'm a foodie, so I don't say no to hitting up new spots! Here's how it went.
Atmosphere/Appearance: Like most New York City based restaurants, there's no private parking lot, so good luck on the street or in a structure. The exterior of the restaurant is very welcoming, modern and nicely done. Once inside you are completely immersed in the spirit of Negril, Jamaica! There's art painted directly onto the walls, the lighting is clever, the space feels open, yet private at the same time. It's NICELY done. There are also 2 floors to this place. It was a busy evening so it was a bit loud inside, but nothing too crazy.
Service: I can't remember the name of the gentlemen who took care of us, but he was funny, engaging and made sure that we had everything that we needed throughout the experience.
Food: While here I was able to check out a few different dishes. First up were the Jerk Lamb Meatballs. These are described as 100% natural lamb and served mint + yogurt sauce. These were delicious. They were soft, tender and had a delicious lamb-y flavor while the yogurt + mint sauce (basically tzatziki with no cucumber) was an excellent compliment, though it tasted a bit light. Next up were the Island Steamed Mussels. These are described as being cooked in a scotch bonnet + tomato + coconut broth. I loved these. Imagine a spicy coconut curry sauced mussel. Delicious. They were cooked well and I had never had mussels like these before! The portion was a bit small, like the meatballs, but... this is New York City so... yeah. For my entrée I decided on the Curry Goat. It's a pretty small bowl of actual goat, but it did come with a healthy side of jasmine rice along with some sauteed greens. These were good... That's it. Not the best I've ever had and had I not had other things to eat, I would've been left hungry. I'd try something else next time.
Value: It's New York City, so take that into consideration. The prices of everything are inflated. So, my lamb meatballs were $14.00 and they come in an order of 3. The meatballs weren't THAT big, but it's lamb and you gotta pay for that. The mussels were $20.00. I mean, it's seafood... so there's that. Lol. Lastly, my goat was $30.00. The last one wasn't worth it, but it's goat... with the bones so just eating around them is irritating. Believe it or not, I have found boneless goat... Anyway, bring the bucks if you come here, you won't be disappointed!
In conclusion, this place was awesome. I loved the drinks, the atmosphere and the food despite how critical I was. You'll definitely enjoy yourself here and you'll see why they're deserving of their awesome reputation!

Jerk Chicken: 10/10
Mac n Cheese: 9/10
Price: 7/10
The hostess was nice and let me sit where I want.
My server, Lucas, was awesome and very helpful.
A little too expensive, and should be larger portions, but the food quality was great.

I reeeally enjoyed the food and the service was great the only thing is it took 2 hours for food to arrive. It was worth the wait though.

Dined here with my party of 20 recently for my birthday. Food was delicious as it has been in my past experience. Drinks well made & music kept the vibes going. Reservation recommended.

Negril BK was chosen as a vday destination for my wife and I. We had a wonderful experience where there was a good selection of music played at a comfortable level that does not require you to shout. Our waiter was great, showing patience and calm. The food was good too, but it had more of an American taste, and i was expecting it to be more carribean pallete pleasing. Drinks were on point! Perfectly balanced where it is smooth, but strong. You can taste each of the ingredients in the drink. Parking is not bad, but if you're showing up at night, expect to drive around looking for a spot.

Awesome location, comfortable heated outdoor seating, good food and even better drinks! I highly recommend this place for drinks and a group happy hour. I had the sorrel margarita and it was a taste of Christmas!!! The wings are a must have and their Mac and cheese was homey. Definitely a worthwhile experience for all Caribbean folks looking to have a taste of home and soca to vybe to

My friends and I shared three entrees including the fish of the day and two desserts. All of it was delicious!! Our server was great, good ambience, and beautiful people (de rigueur in Brooklyn 😊). I highly recommend it!

Had the most amazing evening, the sophisticated tropical theme made the ambiance feel like we were really at a restaurant in the Caribbean. The chicken wings and corn soup were tasty appetizers! My siblings and I enjoyed the coco curry salmon, jerk salmon and oxtails with rice & peas and delicious veggies! The traditional rum punch was great yet the frozen rum punch was strong in addition to the sorrel pina colada was so good! Everything was so great thanks to our host Shari and our waiter Vladimir. Will be back very soon!

I celebrated my birthday at Negril and it was a great experience. The food was awesome and the services we received was top notch. I believe our Waiter name was Vladimir. I would definitely recommend Negril BK to others. Great atmosphere, great drinks and great food.

I finally had the opportunity to dine at Negril BK which has been on my to do list since it opened. My experience was phenomenal. The upbeat Caribbean atmosphere and friendly staff made it even more inviting. The food was beyond my expectation. Negril BK is more than a restaurant...it's an experience. One love to the Chef and staff

Had coconut shrimp it was very tasty ! A bit pricey and the service could have been better I asked for ice for my water I never received it . In addition we waited to get our check . I would go again just because I really want to like this place it’s very nicely decorated

Went there for my mom’s BD. First time here and it was okay. The oxtail was a bit tough and I didn’t enjoy it that much. I can eat oxtail 7 days a week! So I was disappointed. I didn’t like the Lobster Mac or the lobster. The ambiance is nice, a bit loud and I could hardly read the menu, the lighting could be better. The fries on the kids menu are like steak fries, way too big. I will give it another try because the wings are great and my drink was definitely good! I forget the name. It’s still new so let’s see....
