We arrived in Brooklyn at 10:30 am looking for breakfast. Nothing fancy. Just an omelet. Found this place by walking by. Don't let the simple exterior throw you off. Good basic breakfast food -- home cooking style. And the price was reasonable with coffee AND juice included. Good deal all around. I can't speak for lunch or dinner, but our morning was good.

Local gem indeed!. I dream about their rotisserie chicken sometimes. Try the Mangu con queso frito for breakfast. For about $8 you can get a 1/2 chicken with rice and beans or fries and salad. The green sauce is so tasty, just the right combination of garlicy tartness. At times, the fries are too soggy and chicken too dry, but when they get it right it is very satisfying.

Delicious sancocho! Service is really nice and attentive, there is an ATM available which is always handy (You can pay with card anyways.) Yuca fries were great yet not the freshest. This is the type of spots that remind the humans of New York of our delicious latin american roots. Rice and beans are great (as expected) . On the down side, ghis place is extremely over priced as compared to other latin american options in the area.

If you ever wanted to come to spot that had that taste of mom's cooking this is the place. Some of the best home cooked Caribbean food from either DR, PR or Cuba you'll ever have. Any time I'm in the area I stop by for a bite to eat, it never disappoints. Definitely hit them up when you're in the neighborhood!

Traditional Latin cuisine! The food is very very delicious and the servings are exceedingly generous. You definitely get value for your money there! The service is really good. Everyone there is super friendly and makes you feel at home.

I always have the same waitress and she is super sweet and always talks to me and tells me stuff about the Dominican Republic where she’s from. The food here is solid and the place as a classic diner feel, with big booths to climb into with puffy seats and backs. I love the roast chicken with black beans and rice. Sometimes I get maduros with them too. They have milkshakes here as well, and ice coffees. It’a a big traditional Dominican menu. I come here probably once a week by myself and it’s always a relaxing stop.

What am I to say about this restaurant? Well let's start approximately 30 years ago. Yes about 30 years ago. I attended School in the area my father owned the biggest body shop in Brooklyn at the time before I go into work he would stop here with me before taking me to school to sit down and have something to eat. This restaurant was not located on Flatbush but more so around the corner off of Flatbush Avenue or as known Flatbush extension. Papi was always order eggs and yucca he would order me the same thing but with bacon. It was something about the presentation of the food that always caused me to love taste even more. So while passing in the neighborhood now that I'm much older of course I'm going to look for this restaurant and I did and I found it. I am falling the waiter that I used to come here when I was much younger with my dad and I asked whether not the owner is still alive or whether or not he sold the place to someone else. Given to taste of the food I can tell is still all in the family. When I made my order I was told there was no cassava so of course I was disappointed. However I decided to try the mangu. It was absolutely delicious it wasn't hard it was nice and soft perfectly seasoning and the onions on top made for it to be absolutely delicious. The coffee is always top notch and hot topped off with the hot milk perfect for summer winter spring off all. I will be back because I know that family still owns this restaurant and they do know how to treat their customers. I just wish I I was able to stop in for dinner cuz I do remember they made the best tasting we roasted chicken I've ever had from the Spanish restaurant in downtown Brooklyn. You guys can continue to make my breakfast I'll see you again and again and again and again. And I will blame my weight gain on you LOL thank you so much for staying in the neighborhood through the pandemic through the crazy rent height. The business is a fixture in the neighborhood.

Always great food. The baked chicken is huge and delicious. I came in to order for takeout and I was in and out. I just wish they did a delivery service. But nonetheless, a gem in Flatbush

Mofungo was good the sauce could be better. And That’s not a Alcapuria i think it’s kipo or relleno de queso

Probably THE best Dominican food in Brooklyn. I come here often for my favorite dish which is the oxtails. I've had Dominican food elsewhere and I just can't compare. Their rice is just better, their beans are just better. All the dishes I've had have been to satisfaction. Seat yourself and fast service is another thing that keeps me coming back. Highly Recommended!!

Love the cozy atmosphere of dining here. Tried the arroz con pollo, and the chicken tastes really good though the rice tastes not as rich in comparison. Still a great place to get a quick bite. Prices are relatively low which is a plus.

It's a decent food with a reasonable price, many Caribbean or Latin restaurants are expensive compared to American restaurants, This place have a lot of delicious Dominican dishes and I recommend to eat different appetizers, an small dish and some dessert and I promise you, you will not spend to much money and will have a good experience.
