Review Fada - Brooklyn

This bistro brought me back to my roots in France. We arrived on a Thursday night with a jazz band playing. They were playing just loud enough for a comfortable conversation. We had made reservations but it seemed like it might have been a lighter night. Escargots were good but underseasoned. The special clam in lemon butter appetizer was exquisite. My friend ordered the Salade Niçoise and couldn't stop making compliments. My Steak au Poivre was cooked to perfection and sauce was incredible. Great house fries to complement it. Both cocktails and wines were on part.Service was Courteous and professional. Overall an incredible experience and I would recommend Bistro So to anyone wanting an authentic experience.

Wow!! I dropped in here after a really intense workout for a class of wine. The staff was incredible, very knowledgeable about the wine and very friendly. I had the French Onion soup which was fantastic and sooo perfect and warm for today's chilly weather. Topped it off with this adorable little dessert. Perfect little spot for a bite. I'll definitely want to try the burger next time.

Nice little bistro with consistently good food. We’ve only been there for brunch/lunch, and infrequently (every six month or so), but each time everything was great. I usually get the crepe (last one had fig, carmelized onions, goat and Swiss cheeses and prosciutto… always a home run. Others at the table enjoyed theirs as well (burger, risotto special, croque madame). Last time we were there, the front end was short staffed and it being a beautiful March Saturday, the place was packed. However, the waiter was extremely efficient and friendly through it all.

TLDR: awesome food & amazing vibes, come here for brunch, dinner and everything in between. Jazz nights are on Thursday and it’s awesome fun! I was so disappointed when Pâtes & Traditions closed their doors, so you can imagine my excitement when I heard one of the owners was opening a new restaurant on Driggs street! Bistro So is fav spot in Williamsburg for brunch, dinner or if you just fancy a drink before you need to head somewhere else! The owner is so welcoming and always very attentive. My first experience here was coming for brunch where I enjoyed the frenchy burger, it was cooked perfectly and was the best burger I’ve had in New York. Friends all enjoyed their brunch options which I’ve included pics of. We also shared the Camembert which was delish. The next time we came was for a dinner on a Thursday night and our surprise/delight, there was a live jazz night! It made for such a fun and exciting vibe but could also still hear conversations with your friends. I can’t remember what my dish was called it was delicious and very filling. We came again yesterday and sat out the front with a cocktail, it was great people watching! Can’t wait to come back again!!

In love with this new French bistro😍 Food was AMAZING, pricing was unbelievably reasonable for this neighborhood, and service was phenomenal! Best beef tartar I’ve had. Loved their pretty backyard seating. Our server Luc was extremely friendly and attentive. Definitely going back soon! And often

Absolutely amazing experience all around. So happy to have So right across the street from me. This is a cozy spot with a super friendly staff and exceptional food. My wife and I started with a French onion soup and crab cake appetizer. Both wowed us. The French onion soup reminded me of a small place in Nice which it turns out So is from. Complimented by a glass from Saint Emillion it was perfect. My wife also loved her So Smokey cocktail which she described as sooooo good. For our entrees, my wife went with the chicken and I had the short rib. Both superb. Finished with another drink and crem brulee. If you're looking for both fantastic vibes and food, look no further and support this restaurant. You so won't regret it.

Great ambience, food is good, and prices are reasonable for nyc standards! We got the french onion soup, fries, truffle gnocchi, and steak. the steak was flavored great and the price is unbeatable! truffle gnocchi was my favorite, the truffle really comes through. Service was great and wine options are pretty good too.

Love their winter menu. Beef bourguignon and crab cakes and lava cake are my favorites. Cozy atmosphere, good service. I go more often in the winter - like more upscale comfort food.

I forgot to add an image of our drinks, I had a French 75 and my husband had a dirty martini. Both were excellent. Salmon burger and escargots were delicious. The service is really good and friendly!

Wonderful spot with great vibes, food and drinks. Wine is so fresh, mustard chicken penne was fire as well as burrata and cod fish. They also serve their burgers on a brioche with red onion and lettuce, tomato and cheese. Fries are top notch. The food is amazing and the service was perfect. I highly recommend trying out Bistro So

We took our mother out for her 70th birthday and had the greatest time. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were excellent. The waiter was incredibly personable and friendly, especially for a table of 11, including children. After laying low due to COVID-19 fears, it was a reminder of how wonderful a good dining experience can be.

Great atmosphere, well-made cocktails. I didn't eat but the menu looks great! Would come back for food!

By far my new favorite neighborhood restaurant, and hands down the best French restaurant I’ve been to in NYC. Vibe is amazing — owner is magnetic & friendly, music is a mood (on Thursday they have a live jazz band!!), wine list is superb, and most importantly the food is out of this world. You must go. Everything I’ve had there is amazing, you’ll love anything you order!!

Amazing service. Amazing food. We came on a Tuesday night around 8pm and got a great spot near the windows, but indoors. The fondue was amazing, unlimited mussels for $30, great wine, scallops and salads! Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

Absolute gem. We stopped in for a glass of beer, sat on the street side patio and took in the quiet corner of the neighborhood watching the people and dogs go by. Circled back for a late lunch on the back patio and was amazed by the wonderful food. Simple, beautiful and delicious. Waited out a rainstorm and soaked in the atmosphere of this beautiful place. Many thanks to the smiling and welcoming staff. A magical afternoon out of the bussle.

This place rocks. Food is great — authentic French food served by French people. Prices are totally reasonable. Music is great. Service is friendly and efficient. Back patio is gorgeous. The owner is fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Btw I just had their crepes today for brunch and they were incredible. As good as the best I’ve had from Paris. Great work Bistro So!!
