We just made a sium/70th birthday party in the “back room” of Essen on Coney. Everything was PERFECT! The service was great (kudos to Eric & Juliani) the food outstanding! They worked with me on the menu, adding, (not even exchanging!) when we discussed the different options. Everyone who came was very impressed with how beautiful and tasteful the whole evening was. We recommend highly!

Onion Rings batter whatever that was in a bowl are horrible bowl of batter please fix them with breadcrumb texture or take them off the menu it really killed what otherwise was delish

This is the second year in a row we went to Essen while visiting NY from Israel. Both times it was a great family experience with wonderful memories. We had a variety of dishes, from poppers to corned beef sandwiches and a variety of burgers. All were delicious. Thank you for giving the Wax family such a wonderful time!

Customer Service was great, just like the food is always amazing. Really enjoy eating at Essen NY Deli. They are also very accommodating when it comes to making a last-minute reservation. They happen to be also amazing if you want to take a family photo as well while you're there.

My sister and I visited this deli on June 5th - first time back in Brooklyn since 1984. We had a split potato knish with the complimentary corned beef, we shared a brisket sandwich and the pickles were to die for.
