Such a cool space, and the food was top tier people, top tier. The BEST chocolate cake I have ever had, coming from someone who has had a lot of cake in their life and recently re-watched 'the bear', so my culinary standards were very high walking in. Got a slice of the chocolate cake and a brownie sundae and both were absolutely perfect, no notes. Service was friendly and fast, and again the setup of the place had great vibes. Please come here. Food like this makes the world a better place.

The most sophisticated chocolate cake I have ever had.... Not densely packed with sugar and overly sweet like traditional American chocolate cake.... This was a symphony of different types of chocolate rang through each bite from milk to dark you tasted the chocolate not sugar, was moist and wanted to lickt he plate clean .... Amazing maybe the best chocolate cake I've had... Cake was also visually beautiful

It’s easily the best chocolate cake I had in New York City. Light sponge with a beautifully creamy, decadent butter cream topping. The slices are great value as well. I also tried their other pieces and I’d recommend their fruit pies too! They’ve got a good amount of seating as well so you can just come and enjoy a few slices of different cakes. Excellent!

It was an awesome experience being here. The food was amazing. It took a bit time for it to arrive, but definitely worth the wait. Amazing taste, will definitely come back here. The ambience is perfect and a great place to chill. We ordered the sizzler, and the fries that came in it was one of the best fries ever eaten. And the best part we got Crêpe here which I last ate in Europe. Had been looking around so much and finally ate here which was amazing

Welcomed upon entry and helped with the menu. Allowed space to make a decision and went for the chocolate brownie sundae. Which was delicious. A perfect pudding. Warm fudge sauce, big piece of soft gooey yet crisp brownie and a big helping of ice-cream. It didn't taste homemade the ice-cream so whether it was or not I'm not sure but the taste wasn't reminiscent of a homemade ice cream parlour. Also treated myself to a homemade artisan orange chocolate which was a bit steep at $3 but the taste was fantastic. Thin outer shell hiding a soft truffle center which had a hint of orange, personally I'd have preferred a more bold flavour of orange but it was well balanced how it was. Will happily return and maybe sample their famous chocolate cake ...

Place smells incredible when you walk in. Got the hot fudge brownie sundae and it was perfect. The brownie was warm and fudgey, you could tell it was fresh. Ice cream on top was creamy and delicious, didn’t even get a photo we ate it so fast.

This place should be voted the best chocolate cake. Every year for the past 5 years my husband has been getting my birthday cake here and the quality is always consistent. Recently I tried their chocolate bonbons and they are amazing. My favorites are passion fruit, yuzu and salted Caramel. This is the neighborhood gem store 😋😋

Great dessert place! Not only can you choose from chocolate cakes, chocolate drinks, and much more chocolate stuff, they have a great selection of beer and wine that pair with the desserts. Can get busy on weekend nights.

I love The Chocolate Room! The banana split is perfection (they brûlée the banana halves!), and the mint chip ice cream with fudge is delightful. I wish I lived closer to their shop!

The place has the best chocolate cakes in Carrol gardens. The flourless chocolate cake with raspberry sauce is my favorite. Honestly I liked the vibe before Covid better, cause it was more cafe like, and they had chocolate mint tea which was absolute must have.

If you want to spoil your loved ones with decadent chocolates, this is it. As a chocolate truffle lover, I have to give this place a full 5 stars. Finished the entire box of chocolate and I’m still dreaming of every single bite of them. Flavors are rich and dense but not too crazy sweet. Not inexpensive for sure but worth a splurge on a special occasion.

A chocolate lover’s dream house. This has been a go-to for my family when the cravings kick in . The triple layered cake is moist and not too sweet with perfect amount of icing . The hot chocolate is delicious.

Really delicious dessert restaurant serving all things related to chocolate. Ordered a earl tea bonbon, signature three layer chocolate cake, and a chocolate mousse with some whipped cream. Everything was really delicious. Not overly sweet but with strong complex chocolate flavors. Great spot to hang out with a very nice ambiance.

I loved the Chocolate Room and it's delicious Sweet Treats. They make great chocolates and homemade ice-cream and much more. A great atmosphere with friendly help I did not want my ice cream stake so I asked our server to put it in a different dish and he was very obliging that made me very Happy. This delicious dessert shop is in a lovely neighborhood that has become highly sought-after. Downtown Brooklyn has become the new Manhattan. Drop by with a friend or come by yourself and taste some of the Sweet Treats that the Chocolate Room has to offer. I would most definitely come back again. I gave it 5-stars....

Love this place!!! It's nice and cozy and the service is wonderful! The deserts we had were delicious and worth every penny. This is a must go to place if in the area!!!

While everything is always great here, to me the star has always been their brownie. Solo, it is simplicity and awesomeness. As a sundae with their incredible fresh mint chip ice cream it is divine.

The best-tasting dark drinking chocolate I've ever had outside of Europe. The mouth feel is spot-on to the drinking chocolate I fell in love with during my many visits to Kraków. I'm now a lifelong fan of The Chocolate Room.

The absolutely best vanilla ice cream I have had in New York. My husband bought 2 pieces of chocolate cake and a pint of vanilla ice cream for our anniversary. We were not going out because I am recovering from knee surgery. What a gift! So delicious. Home-made old fashioned simple vanilla ice cream and wonderful chocolate layer cake. My message: Don't forget to try the ice cream. Thank you Chocolate Room!

Omg sooo good. They serve you a sample of chocolate ice cream when you first sit down. Just delicious and a hint of all the goodness you are about to have. I had the brownie dessert with home made ice cream, hot fudge ( best in life) and fresh whipped cream. I loved every morsel. Will def be back!! My new fav place in Brooklyn. Of course I had to get some sweets for the trip home.

Wonderful brownie sundae! Sweet server that replaced my husband's beer that had gone bad. I had a champagne cocktail. Our son had a fantastic flourless chocolate cake. Delightful experience!

The experience was simply delightful. We had a banana split and a brownie sundae. The portions were great and the price good.

Well we can't comment on the food because we never got to have any. We were visiting from Illinois and it was our last night with our son and his fiancée. We were a larger party of 7. If you're just two you can be seated right away. We waited about an hour after being told we'd be seated in twenty to twenty-five minutes. There is no where to sit while you wait and my mother in her seventies was left standing for about 45 minutes until a man who I assume is the owner or manager brought a chair that my son requested. The staff is incredibly rude especially the thin short white girl with the pony tail who had a really bad attitude and called me a liar in front of the other 20 people who were waiting. The other girl who was hosting and seating parties would take back immediately any group of two as soon as they arrived despite others waiting and the fact that the whole place only holds about 20 to 30 people. So if you choose to stop here go in as parties of two and look for the African American girl with glasses and a blue do rag you should be able to get seated no matter who's waiting. She sat four sets of two people each while we waited none of which waited even five minutes. We would have been willing to be wait a little longer if good customer service kindness and an apologetic reception had met us. But the ladies hosting tonight both are horrible at customer service and at best mediocre at being hostesses. I wouldn't recommend this place unless they replace some of the staff or you like being verbally berated for their ineptness.

Took a while to get our order when it was empty.. the hot fudge brownie sundae was lacking in hot fudge and Jim's cake was not that chocolatey... dissapointed....

me and my daughter have been going here for years.. even when they were located on the other side of the street. i know alot of people in parkslope that unfortunately havent been here yet. all i can say is that everything they make is great.. and the staff is always super friendly.
