Gelateria Gentile

Great artisanal gelato 🍨! I always crave great dessert and Gentil NEVER disappoints. They have a broad selection of gelatos and my newest discovery…Brioches al gelato! A fluffy and not-too-sweet brioche stuffed with two gelato scoops of your choice, aka heaven. They let you try before committing, but I believe the quality of their stuff is superior to any other ice cream I have tried in Williamsburg.

I stuck my head in here and held my breath until I saw they have the gelato covered in stainless steel containers and served with a stainless steel spade. PHEW! CRISIS AVERTED! The covered metal container keeps the gelato at the correct temperature for an optimal consumption experience. I learned this critical, life changing information on my trip to Italy. Oh yeah I've been to Italy... I'm well traveled, haha :) The line was long, but the 3 ladies working in here were GRINDING to keep it moving. I can't help but respect that, that's good business. They have different flavors everyday, which can be a minor inconvenience but it does show that this gelato is fresh so I respect that and welcome aforementioned minor inconvenience. I went with a scoop of melon and a scoop of limone, as I was in a fruity mood hehe. One of those days. Both flavors were fantastic and the scoops came with a little cone on top of the gelato creating a kind of hat. I ended up using this little cone to scoop the gelato, as I am a veteran of this game. This is a cute Gelato shop in Williamsburg. When you come here prepare to wait in line. It’s a small shop and the staff is working hard to get multiple orders out. I ordered the chocolate and crème caramel. It came in a cup with a mini cone and topped with whipped crème. The chocolate was really rich and I probably wouldn’t get it again but the crème caramel was a hit. I loved that it came with a mini waffle cone, when I neared the end of my cup I add the contents to the cone and it was the best. This is a nice place to bring your kids and family after dinner.
