The restaurant has a understated industrial feel with a few well selected distressed items. As I walked in the staff was busy at work, carefully gathering orders for delivery. I selected the lamb/rice/ beans bowl. My food was tasty, homely, well spiced and full of flavor. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The menu was straight forward and easy to order from, the vibe is like an island beach house, and the food... the food was so, so good. The coconut curry was sweet and creamy and the spicy tomato sauce makes your soul happy (and your forehead a little sweaty!). The chicken, rice, and beans, were all flavorful and simply seasoned, lending themselves to the complex and rich sauces. The last thing I’ll say is that you should take some time to really chat with the two brothers who own the place. The stories they have and the sincerity they tell them with is wonderful. It was a great experience and I will be back, without a doubt.

Super impressed with this place. The food feels high end, even though the restaurant is fairly causal. The lamb meat was so tender it fell off the bone, and for the price they were quite generous with the portions. 10000% recommend!

The opening hours make it difficult to come here but it’s well worth the effort. We were four and between us we had the chicken, salmon and lamb. Huge portions and incredible flavors.

The young lady who served us was so genuinely nice and hospitable, it was the key to our enjoyment of the meal. There's two large picnic type tables and benches, and one or two smaller tables off to the side, but it is a very small place. Myself and my special lady friend were the only ones in there. We went across the street to the bodega and got a large red stripe to share while our food was prepared. The immediate neighborhood is tucked away and quiet; we were nicely unrushed and comfortable. I got the lamb with coconut ginger sauce and my companion got the salmon with spicy tomato sauce. The tomato option isn't bad, but i strongly recommend the coconut ginger instead. The prices are fairly high, but there is a lot of food, and I don't know where else you can find something quite like this. Also I really liked their bowls; they are large and shaped more like a cake pan, with no slope so you can corner the food easier without it slipping out. Oh yea, we also got the kale on the side which was perfect mixed in with the food. Let me know how the jerk chicken is, I want to try it but that lamb was special, don't know if I'd pass it up next time.

My girlfriend and I were famished coming out of the Brooklyn Botanical garden, and checked online for a good place to eat. This was about 10 minutes away walking, and we found it easily on the corner. The place was clean, with local artwork. The menu was super simple, we picked our meat (I got jerk chicken, my girlfriend lamb) with chickpeas, brown rice, and the coconut curry sauce. The owner was super personable and nice, told me that the food was from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and a little background! Really great owner. When I tell you this food was incredible, it's beyond description. I've had a lot of Caribbean food, even in Barbados, and this was some of the best ever. Seriously! The jerk chicken and everything else was so full of flavor, and I even tasted my girlfriend's lamb -- amazing. The homemade tamarind-based hot sauce was also out-of-this-world. Incredible gem. Overall, very clean, very simple -- very good. Just go dude.

A pleasant experience and a must to try again. The food is AMAZING. I ordered the Jerk Chicken in Coconut Ginger with Brown Rice and Red Kidney beans with Kale. From the first bite I was in heaven. Caribbean food recreated into something even more extraordinary. Sit down and grab a bite.

Fantastic! Food was amazing. The bottled hot sauce was so good we bought a bottle to take home. Service was very friendly and welcoming. We shared a lamb with coconut ginger sauce and a chicken with the red sauce. Beware, the red sauce is HOT! (But good!) I would highly recommend.
