Joe's Of Avenue U

It’s always a good time at Joes. I always get the panelle special. Not many restaurants or food establishments have this Sicilian food. It’s absolutely amazing. Always has from the first day I ate it. The staff are always helpful and do a great job. It goes without saying that I’ll be back here. I’ve been going to joes since 1998.

I don’t remember how I heard about this place but I finally made it and WOW this is definitely one of the most authentic and amazing Sicilian restaurant I have had so far! The panelle was cooked to perfection and served the right way with lemon only the rice ball was amazing and done right as well and the eggplant capunata was to die for I could eat it all day with the in house Italian bread that they make! I unfortunately went a little to late to get the swordfish but that just shows that they use the freshest fish and it’s delicious and runs out! I ended up with the chicken parm very delicious seasoned well my buddy got the lasagna and meatballs and I’m picky about lasagna when I love my mom’s recipe but this place was up there with hers it was fresh the sauce was amazing and they made it Sicilian style with peas and it was just amazing I can not wait to eat here again and try pretty much this whole menu it is definitely a spot you must try!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Joe's of Avenue U, and it was a truly great experience from start to finish! The panelle special was awesome. freshly made and with great flavor. For dinner I had baccalaru in bianco. The flavors were rich and expertly balanced, leaving me wanting more after every bite. But what really made my experience stand out was the incredible service. Our waitress was friendly, and attentive, taking the time to answer all our questions and making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I was very impressed with Joe's of Avenue U and will definitely return! The food was outstanding, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Enjoy!!
