Beautiful restaurant and top-tier service! Our server was incredibly welcoming and made our dining experience very comfortable. I've never had baklava before, but it tasted AWESOME - definitely get it if you stop by! All the dips (especially the feta cheese dip) were so so good with the pita they served. Did I mention the falafel? Very soft and paired well with the dips. I recommend this place 100/10 😊

I had a wonderful meal here. The bar staff was incredibly nice, service was prompt and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the lamb it was DELICIOUS. I also had homemade mint iced tea and it was really nice. I definitely would come back and bring others—definitely a great place to hang out, eat and order plenty of apps. The menu had a great variety with lots of options to accommodate dietary restrictions.

If I was on death row, I would want to eat food from Mazzat as my last meal. Go here! Try one of the specials! Have a date night! Talk to Jay the server, and enjoy yourself! Oh, and get dessert.

Our family had a wonderful meal here. We loved the food. Danny the owner’s son made us feel so welcome. Best falafel I’ve ever eaten. Really tasty French fries. Salmon good and the chicken kebab. Our young children are a lot and they don’t usually at restaurants. Delicious baklava and all the desserts were amazing. We sat outside and it was so relaxing.

Classic New York dining experience. Happened upon this place on the way back from the Jalopy theater and was pleasantly surprised. Falafel was fantastic, as was the steak. French fries were off the charts. Also had a Turkish style dessert that I've never had and would easily go back for. So glad that places like this still exist in New York, let alone Red Hook.

Fun but basic. It's notorious food but no edge. Come here if you're hungry and wanna have a chill hang. My wify was happier after she ate ( but aren't we all?)

This is a local spot on the Columbia’s waterfront that is a hidden gem! jimmy, the owner, is fantastic… he is there to help you for any reservation needs… including one that accommodated 26 people! The food was delicious and the wait staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. I can’t recommend a better place for a local experience!

Lovely atmosphere, good service and a delicious meal. We had lunch for 6 with no delays. We shared 3 appetizers but each had a separate entree.

This is a special place from the first moment you enter the restaurant, greeted by lovely people who really care that you enjoy your time here and are served exceptionally delicious food. The falafel is outstanding as is the babaganoush and the lamb cassoulet. The chef is charming and generous and all the servers too. Go there soon…

Awesome place, very smooth atmosphere, in a quite and classic neighborhood. Food is great, Mediterranean kitchen with a mix of Greek and Turkish flavors. Very nice selection of appetizers, great main course options and specials. Drinks are cold and delicious, Mojitos are out of this world. Basically, everything is just right and perfect. We will definitely be back soon.

The steak and kebobs were perfectly cooked and very tender. The atmosphere is amazing and cozy. The homemade kunafa we had for dessert was delicious- it was the perfect combination of sweet and savory. Ten out of ten- I would definitely recommend Mazzat!😁

I stumbled upon Mazzat when I was out exploring Red Hook. Stumbled up and it looked good so I gave it a try. I was really impressed with the entire experience! I had the grilled 1/2 chicken and it was actually the best chicken I’ve ever had and large part of why I liked the place so much. The waiter recommended it and he was really on point! Service was excellent as well. Waiter was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. They really made me feel welcome here! Only complaint is the diet coke they gave me had maybe a teaspoon of soda in it 😂 Everything else was great and I loved how the restaurant opens up to the street. It made for a really great vibe. Finally, I thought the price was incredibly reasonable for what you get. This isn’t my usual type of cuisine either and I left very happy!

Mazzat is very nice place to relax, have a cocktail, and have a really good quality meal. On this particular occasion in early May, we had a hummus appetizer and ordered some of the daily specials. One was the Beet Salad. The other was the fresh Cod. Both dishes were outstanding and would rate high in portion, quality and flavor. The staff at Mazzat were really nice and had perfect timing for cycling our food and drinks. I would recommend the house Margarita. All in all Mazzat is a great spot in neighborhood for access and food.
