Real old time kosher restaurant. Serves the dishes your mother (maybe grandmother) would make. The price is right.

Happened upon Gottlieb’s while on a day trip to South Williamsburg, and I was pleasantly surprised that they had Hungarian food (Gulyásleves, Paprikás csirke, töltött kaposzta, uborkaszaláta). I got the töltött kaposzta and it was wonderful! The service was friendly, the atmosphere was warm and simple. My boyfriend got the corned beef on rye and it was also delicious 😊

Review (written by a Jewish customer): As a member of the Jewish community, finding a kosher establishment that serves authentic and delicious food is truly a treasure. I can confidently say that Gottlieb's Restaurant and Deli at 352 Roebling Street in Brooklyn, NY is an exceptional choice. Managed by Menashe Gottlieb, a dedicated owner who continues the family legacy, this restaurant offers a wide array of traditional deli dishes that are simply outstanding. From their mouthwatering pastrami sandwiches to the rich and delectable kugel, and the comforting matzo ball soup, Gottlieb's delivers an authentic and satisfying dining experience. Walking into Gottlieb's, I immediately felt welcomed by the warm and inviting ambiance. The staff, who were attentive and friendly, made me feel right at home. The decor and atmosphere reflect the traditional deli setting, transporting you back in time to the heart of Jewish culinary heritage. But let's talk about those sandwiches! The pastrami at Gottlieb's is a true standout. The meat is tender, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. Nestled between slices of freshly baked and perfectly toasted rye bread, it creates a harmonious combination that will leave your taste buds dancing with delight. It's undoubtedly one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've had in the city. While the sandwiches are a true highlight, Gottlieb's menu extends beyond them. Their kugel is a delight, with its perfectly balanced flavors and comforting texture. And who can resist their matzo ball soup? It's like a warm hug in a bowl, providing both nourishment and a sense of nostalgia. What sets Gottlieb's apart is the dedication to preserving family traditions and offering authentic kosher cuisine. As a Jewish customer, I appreciate the attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of kosher dining. If you're on the lookout for a kosher restaurant with an incredible deli experience, Gottlieb's Restaurant and Deli is undoubtedly the place to go. It's a true gem, where you can enjoy classic Jewish delicacies in a setting that celebrates our culinary heritage.

Had an out of body experience here. Is the food good? Yeah it's great. But the atmosphere is unparalleled. Like Pleasantville was directed by Harvey Fierstien. Family walks in and the waiter tells them, don't worry everything is the same as you remember. I had chicken livers with pickles and a loaf of bread and it was all fantastic. I'm pretty sure in Kabbalah, when you die you just end up at Gottlieb's. Jewish nirvana.

Great corned beef sandwiches, latkes and knish. All fresh, hot and flavorful. Can’t ask for any better or any more authentic, especially paired with a Dr. Browns Cherry.

It’s Ironic that everything great at this place is for the opposite reason then what I would usually rate a place for It’s old like nothing has changed since 1950 The menu is simple has not either changed since 1950 But that’s exactly the reason I love it the food is simple. Jewish traditional food, but it’s great it’s not trying to be trendy it’s trying to make you feel at home Walk in you might want to bolt but don’t order something eat it and then decide
