Hibino - Brooklyn - Photo album

This hidden gem in Cobble Hill has one of the best sushi in the city. The pieces come very fresh and the rice is properly seasoned. It’s pricier than the typical sushi in a standard Japanese restaurant but you’ll get the premium quality of a high-end sushi place without the high prices. The variety
This small neighborhood gem has been around for years and I've visited a few times for lunch and dinner. The food is consistently good and high quality, made with fresh ingredients. They've developed such a local following that you can always expect a line of patrons waiting to dine. This time I we
It's no wonder why Hibino is always so packed - the sushi is simply outstanding! We had the tuna tataki salad to start, which was flavorful and generous enough for two. We also shared a sushi special, along with two pieces of heavenly toro. The fried eel roll was scrumptious without being greasy or
Great quality sushi and good portions. It gets busy in the evenings so would recommend booking or waiting - well worth it.
The food was very good and I really enjoyed it. I had the chef's choice sushi platter served with miso soup and salad. The service was good but short people as far as I could tell. I arrived first of my party and was told to wait outside till the rest of the party arrived. It was over 90 degrees out
Everything was awesome. One of my favorites from the menu was the shira-ae. Basically blanched green veggies with a bit of salt and a tofu sauce. The tofu sauce was delicious, and different than any tofu I had ever experience. This dish was very mild and nuanced, and you could really just sink into
The lunch menu is great with a variety of plates. The dining room is quiet and nice but the staff want you stay outside when you are waiting for your friend and want you to leave very fast so not really client oriented.
dined on a tuesday at 6pm with my husband and a toddler— easy to get a table. service is attentive and the food is *excellent*. high quality, great portion size— the rice in the sushi roll is perfect temp and seasoned beautifully. the size of the sashimi in the roll is unprecedented! the salmon roll
They are busy here but the food is very good and the host is so nice. He gave me some tea when my date took a while to show up and he helped me get a soy sauce stain out of my shirt. A+
Really enjoyed my meal here. I would say this is a more modern take on Japanese food. They have the usual that you would expect but a fantastic specials menu where you can tell someone is taking care and effort. I love Japanese food and this was a refreshing place to go out of the normal spicy tuna
Cute and quaint sushi restaurant in Cobble Hill. Pretty extensive menu. Had the spicy scallop and tuna rolls and the seared tuna tataki salad was delicious (tuna was perfectly pan seared). The recommended sake was also very good. Inexpensive and very decent portions for the price.
Good neighborhood joint for authentic and simple Japanese sushi and cuisine. Would have liked a little in each dish, but tasty nonetheless. The housemade tofu is a recommended. Reservations are not accepted, so anticipate a considerable wait (40min in my case) on a busy night.
Best sushi in Brooklyn Heights / Cobble Hill! Friendly service, great atmosphere and delicious selection of sushi and other dishes. True neighborhood spot.
Delicious, simple and affordable! Try any dish with tofu as it is housemade and absolutely singular in taste and texture alike. The daily obanzi, or homestyle recipes, are always surprisingly minimalist when it comes to ingredients and rich in flavor and textures. I ordered a non traditional colesla
Incredible sushi, incredible atmosphere. We ordered a tuna special roll, salmon avocado roll, and a spicy tuna with added fish roe. 10/10. The perfect amount for the two of us.
Friday night, celebrating my sisters birthday—Hibino was perfect. They only have limited seating, but when I explained I have two toddlers they were more than accommodating. The fish melted in my mouth and the rice did too. The special small dishes are worth ordering and the sake is a must, especial
This is a fantastic local spot, orders are always right and on time. The sushi is unpretentious and consistently good. Highly recommend!
U can travel to japan without taking a plane. The smile, treatment and japanese casual outfit of the staff make u feel far away from Brooklyn. Free tap water, good selection of drinks and food, very afforable prices with great quality. Outstanding obanzais (small plates) that changes daily.
Hibino is our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. It just exemplifies quality and care, the ingredients are top notch and the staff (especially Kenta!) are so friendly and welcoming. I get the bento lunch box weekly and it’s always something to look forward to. The salmon collar is unbeatable.
