Review The Red Hook Winery - Brooklyn

Checked out this winery last month on our trip to NYC. Had a flight of wine. We enjoyed the Geante orange wine, 333 and the cabernet franc. All delicious! Hostess very nice and informative on the wines we were tasting. We walked outdoors for a short while enjoying the views of the river. We went on a Monday when it wasn’t very busy. Definitely check out this spot and enjoy the views of the river and Statue of Liberty nearby.

A lovely respite from the city, we were seated outside along the river and it was a perfect day. The knowledge of our server on the wines was great and they were able to answer our questions. I'd like a larger charcuterie board for the price but the wine tasting experience is a must. Red Hook Winery is also a great place to just chill with a glass and have a chat!

Stumbled on this place wanting to catch views of the Statue of Liberty from across the bay. Pleasant warehouse setting. Friendly staff that will let you taste before committing to a full glass. I first tasted their Orange Wine which was niced but overly oaked for my taste. Rosé aged on lees in stainless steel made from 100% Merlot had a nice fullness and very fresh without too much acidity. Cabernet Franc in stainless was nice but much too young. I opted for their Legacy lot 333 with a nice fullness and integrated tannins. Nice place to enjoy great tasting wines and beautiful view of the bay.

Great place for a wedding or a quiet drink with friends / partner. It has beautiful views but take your sunglasses it gets really sunny if you want outside. The views are really the big draw of this place as there is not much going on inside this place. However, the staff is super extra nice and helpful and will make your visit here a pleasant one. Personally I wouldn't go here on a Friday or Saturday. It's quiet and out of the way so luckily I was here on a Sunday and it was the perfect atmosphere for a quiet afternoon.

Took a weekend trip to Brooklyn with my girl and we stumbled upon this winery while looking for something casual to get into near the water. Unfortunately it was a rainy day but we made the best out of the journey. Huge warehouse filled with art studios. The winery is at the very end. Chill interior and very homie. Small apps, we enjoyed some olives and ordered wine flights. First time trying orange wine! Such a great rainy day place to visit. Overall relaxed atmosphere; we bought a bottle to go. Highly recommend

I had a lovely experience here! The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The wine tasted great and the snacks were also very tasty. Definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to try something new! Note: they rotate the wine options every month incase you’d like to visit this establishment again.

Great ambiance and good vibes. Great location by the piers with a nice view. Went in a group of 8 - we enjoyed the wine tasting and the atmosphere. There was a parking lot and the winery was dog friendly and baby/carriage friendly. The service was great/informative/and super patient. We were also offered discounts on wine purchases. I would recommend for family or friends outing.

I took my boyfriend on a surprise date here and it was so peaceful great location. The wine was so good I didn’t leave without my favorite from the tasting. The waitress was so polite. Will be back!

I had such a great time at the Red Hook Winery. I arranged a wine tour for 6 guest and it started on time. We reserved the outdoor space and just enjoyed sitting out on the pier and enjoying the sunset while tasting 6 different wines. Perfect way to end summer and welcome fall. We all had such a lovely time.

always have a good time I go. Good wine, good with Legacy if you love a blackberry jam oak flavor. When someone visits from out of town this is a go to spot I take them. Only wish there was more outdoor seating with umbrellas.

10 out of 10. I signed up for a wine tasting for a girls night out. The selections were very tasteful/delicious. The staff was very friendly. The place was clean and you had a beautiful waterfront view. There’s also snacks that you can order as well. The fig jam on the charcuterie board is to die for. I will be coming back especially since I found out the wine selections for the tastings changes monthly.

Service was amazing :) we were joking about the “shark-coochie” board . We learned a lot and it was great to drink at our own pace! Will be going back .

Loved my wine tasting here! Came on a beautiful day, managed to get a seat at a table right on the water with a beautiful view. The tasting included 6 wines, they weren't all to my taste, but they were actually better than expected and I ended up buying a bottle of Riesling. I never buy Riesling so I was surprised how much I liked it. Definitely would recommend this place!

The atmosphere was very nice and the tribute to the historic nature of the building was evident. Did a tasting with my wife and our server was very attentive and informative about their wines. We ended up purchasing several bottles of their red blends. Would recommend and go back next time I'm in NYC

Amazing service! Went here for my brothers birthday & had a great tasting experience. The package came with a charcuterie board with meats, cheeses & baked chips to die for! Complementary bottle of their dessert wine was a great perk, & it tasted great! The view is amazing & you can get amazing pics of the skyline & pics in general!

Excellent Customer service, super knowledgeable and attentive staff… almost as if they know your palate already. Whilst I didn’t try all their varietals I was plentifully satisfied with a 17 Cab Franc, which is not on the tasting/flight menu This place is perfectly placed with outdoor seating directly overlooking NYC Order up some charcuterie, buy a bottle, or do a tasting, enjoy the ambience, the flavors, and people. An excellent way to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax to the sound of waves and laughter.
