Yes, yes, and more yes.
THE PLACE: Stopped by this spot on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30p for brunch! My friend & I were seated right away in one of the booths which was adorable and cool. Fresh flowers, glass bottle of water for the table, tons of natural light from a huge row of big windows at the front of the restaurant, some music playing, general average loudness of brunch. All around great vibe and ambience.
THE FOOD!: Sheesh. Our server RACHEL :) was super knowledgable of the menu and gave us some excellent suggestions. We started out with "flat white" latte's and 2 buttermilk biscuits (huge, delicious, so good) which came with jam & butter. I ordered a side of the sausage gravy for my biscuit, which came out piping hot and deliciously rich and spicy. (There was so much biscuit and gravy that I took half of it home). We also each ordered a bourbon cocktail called "pancakes and syrup" which was insane- really strong, really delicious, and came out with a maple glazed piece of bacon in it. SO good. Next up was the grapefruit brulee- grilled to perfection with sugar and blueberries, and expertly cut for easy dining... this was a MUST order. My friend and I split it which was plenty. As if all that wasn't enough, we decided to also each order a brunch entree. I ordered the chilaquiles and my friend ordered the catfish po boy. Both were really flavorful, plated beautifully, and got absolutely crushed. hah! The chilaquiles were different from other kinds I have had- it came with salsa verde and pice de gallo which was a new experience for me (used salsa roja). Delicious! Also had black beans, pulled pork, and 2 sunny side up eggs. Our server Rachel cracked fresh black pepper over my plate and made it perfect. The po bo had fried catfish, slaw, lettuce some type of aioli on it, on some great bread. Really hearty and came with fries.

This place is a 5-star establishment. If you're looking for a $20 bottomless mimosa brunch, this is not your place. Come here for a few really good cocktails, delicious & well-prepared food, gorgeous natural light, great service, cool decor and a chill crowd void of college kids and blaring party music.
I will definitely be coming back for brunch, and I plan on trying the dinner menu ASAP. Love this place!!
I feel so lucky to have Putnam's right at the corner. I've never loved a neighborhood restaurant quite like this. The menu is diverse, the food is always good, the service is always good, and the more you visit Putnam's, the more the staff, management and owners get to know you.
If you have friends from out of town, bring them here.
Parents in for brunch? bring them here.
Need a mid-week burger? go here
Trivia night?! yes! go here!

I've been waiting 6 months to have their shepherd's pie—it's to die for! Well worth the wait, I say! And don't even get me started on their cinnamon apple cider... Served hot, you'd think you had died and gone to Irish heaven. At least, I thought I did.
5/5 would recommend!
Love this place, friendships made there, the staff, food and music. Rebuild quickly, can't wait to sit at the bar again!
Awesome beer selection, delicious food and the perfect handsome pub ambience. What more could you ask for?
Super Baby Friendly! Staff was very nice! Food was great but the chef does not customizations or additions to his dishes which although annoying is also amusing in and of itself. I’d go back.
So friendly and accommodating! I had the buttermilk fried chicken which was so delicious that I can't wait to go eat it again! My son had the chicken and bacon sandwich. His comment was, "That's a GOOD sandwich!" Wait staff was cheerful, prices were good. Try it out!
Excellent place! Loved the homemade food. The biscuits are absolutely delicious!
Great food -mac n cheese is UNREAL, kale salad with shrimp, mussels are standouts - great cocktails, cool atmosphere, awesome wait staff. What more could you want?

Loved it. Can’t wait to visit again and try other menu items.
the southern breakfast was awesome. I returned and they were gone :(
Great food ... Great staff... Great place. .. Cheeseburgers eggs and the deviled eggs are great
Great food, drinks, atmosphere, and service!
Our son goes to Pratt and anytime we are in Brooklyn we always head to Putnam's! Some visits multiple times! Wonderful food, cocktails and atmosphere. We love just sitting the the beautiful bar.
we went here for the first time last night, st. patrick's day. live irish music, guinness on tap, and hot house nuts. what else is there. can't wait to go when i can saddle up to the bar. this is the perfect brooklyn bar. ❤️
Pub has decent food and cocktails to wines. Brunch, dinner and even kids menu. Staffs are super nice, thanks Jennifer for being so attentive. And the bar staff is super friendly too. A lot of seats with nostalgia decorations. I would recommend everyone.
I’m not too sure when they opened, but I think we were there in the first week and it’s only gotten better. The unfortunate fire closed them down for some time, but they’re back and going at it better than ever. The burger, the fried chicken sandwich, the shrimp and grits, potato leek soup, and the French press coffee are your top notch items. They also have a nice selection of house beers, but also your typical foreign and domestic‘s. I haven’t been there for lunch in some time, but I loved the half sandwich and soup of ham and Gruyere on a light toasted and buttered baguette with Dijon mustard and cornichons, and a tomato soup. Memorable lunches.
Great neighborhood spot. This has been our go-to option for the past 2 or so years. Whatever the casual occasion, Putnam's has got you covered. Brunch, dinner, drinks, it's all good. I consider myself to be a Bloody Mary Expert and Putnam's Bloody Mary is top-notch. Supremely flavorful, decorative, and packs a punch. We also got the nachos but ate them too fast, couldn't grab a photo in time :) There is truly nothing bad on the menu.
I love it here. Shayna our waitress was attentive even though it was busy when my partner and I visited. We had the mac and cheese, NY strip, cauliflower fritters, and beef stew. All were amazing. I love the cozy atmosphere. If we lived closer we'd frequent this pub.
Happened upon this place through a Google search: wanted to find a spot that was a pub in Brooklyn and not in Manhattan. Decided to make it a group outing with The Crew. Reservations are recommended. We had a choice of seating arrangements. Service started out slow, but eventually it picked up.
All the food we tried was fresh and simple (not overly complicated). Salmon on their salad had crispy skin along with the roasted chicken (you don't really see that often anywhere). Mac n cheese was also another hit. Other highlights were the cheeseburger spring rolls, braised short rib (comes apart like nothing), and the lava chocolate cake. Drinks were on point too. Can get a bit pricey though, so beware of that. Definitely gotta come back to try other things on menu. Thanks again for a great time.
went there for Thanksgiving with my partner and it was wonderful if the atmosphere was very cozy. the food was delicious. is the best butternut squash I've ever had
This is a great local restaurant/bar that has amazing food and great service. They have raw oysters every day, with a special on Thursdays. My fave dishes are the burger, crispy artichoke salad with shrimp, crispy brussel sprouts, and Mac n cheese- just to name a few. Portions are pretty big. 4 stars only because the menu is on the smaller side, but you can't go wrong with any of the options. They have outdoor seating with protection from the elements if it is raining. There is also a basement level room for small parties/ events.
This spot is cozy, homey and welcoming. The dining area was actually smaller than it looked from the outside, but it still had a good amount of seating. They had a nice wooded bar to the right of the entrance, fully stacked and ready to serve the brunch crowds!
They offer bottomless brunch every weekend, or you can just get whatever that makes you (and your tummy) happy! We ordered Scarlet Flip and The Halpenny. The Scarlet Flip was very refreshin, bubbly and elegant, I really liked it! The Halpenny had very strong espresso flavor. Wake you up with an aromatic punch!
To start off, we ordered their Buttermilk Biscuit and Mac & Cheese. Bisctuit was super moist and soft, warm and fluffy like a cloud that is ready to rain down some rainbow drops! Mac & Cheese was so much smaller than we expected, but packed with great flavor! This little pot of gold was creamy, filling, and satisfying.
Once we saw the size of the Mac & Cheese, we felt ok about adding a second appetizer that we really wanted to try. We ordered Scotch Egg. The egg was perfectly cooked, meaty, satisfying bite.
For main, we ordered Impossible Burger and Putnam's Burger. Impossible Burger patty was more thin and flat than the ones I’ve had elsewhere. Regardless, it was still very tasty, packed with flavor. For Putnam’s Burger, we added cheddar cheese, bacon, and egg. It looked like the Leaning Tower of Pisa!!! And it was quite tasty! High ingredients, prepared with care and love. Needless to say, it was super filling and satisfying.
As you can imagine, we were stuffed. But, we somehow managed to order their signature Irish Coffee as our "dessert." It was much bigger than we expected, but it was not concentrated, so that made sense. Still, it was nice and strong, warm and went down smooth.
Our server. McKenna was super nice and friendly, polite and welcoming. She took a good care of us. It was a satisfying and fun brunch. We don’t usually go to Brooklyn for brunch, but definitely worth the trip! This place had such warm, relaxing atmosphere, we had a really good time. We would love to go back for more of their upscale cocktails and tasty food!
Just a great place to go especially if you live in the neighborhood. But one thing I can complain about is there happy hour drinks should have a little more options other then a margarita non slush just ice!!
Great place for brunch. Umm umm food and quality drinks. Nice patio for enjoying both those things. Eggs and steak a hit with my group as well as the avocado toast
The Food wasn’t the best but they made up for it in service. Really nice local place to grab a bite or a drink. I think of the bread was a bit softer or they offered some kind of picture it would help customers know that their food would look like but overall pretty good 😊
No photos but a pretty good meal. We were staying near by and looking for something simple to eat.
Pretty good food. Crowd/ atmosphere was good and service was fine.
Always a blast here. Bartenders and servers all really great folks. Trivia thursdays and karaoke Fridays.
