I love Carmines with all my heart. I stop in every time I'm in Williamsburg even though I moved to PA 11 years ago. I remember when it was a small counter with some people watching baseball games from the street on the window ledge tv and a few tables in the back. This time I only had time for a morning cappuccino which hit the spot. The food is great, the staff is great, and every time I've ever seen Carmine he's been super kind and calm no matter how busy.
Love this place they treat my family like their family with love and respect, even the kids are treated like individuals and are asked individually what they would like to eat. I love this about them. The taste of the food, the portions and the prices never disappoint. My adult children never turn down an invitation to celebrate at Carmine and Sons Spirts Bar!
I have been to other family style Italian restaurants, though none in New York, and this one exemplifies the food and the experience. It provides a comfortable environment and many traditional, Italian food options. With a group of four, an appetizer and a couple dishes to share were more than enough. The taste and quality was great, and we didn't have to wait that long. We made reservations in advance, which was a good idea as there were a lot of people waiting for a table. There are a lot of tables at the restaurant, and they were all full. It is just a couple blocks from Broadway, so I would recommend it for dinner before or after a show. They have a good selection of wines and beers as well ;)
Hands down the best pizza joint in East Williamsburg. Get it by the slice and in person. It's always better fresh, and they've got Brooklyn Lager on permanent draft. What's not to love? Spoiler alert: the sports bar next door is finally open, too.
Love it. have been in Williamsburg (for the first time) the past four days and have stopped in each day. great food, cheap, friendly staff.
Holy moley!!!. Just went to Carmine's today for the first time, and travelled from Manhattan to Williamsburg to get there. COMPLETELY worth the trip! Had a slice of the cheesesteak pizza, which was quite possibly one of the best things I have ever tasted. When I finished my slice, I bought two more to bring home to our nanny, another pizza lover, just to confirm this was as amazing as I thought it was. After a quick re-heating at home, she confirmed, that indeed, the cheesesteak slice is a WINNER! I'll be back. (No wonder the place was so crowded).
Just about the best pizza I've ever had. I order pizza from this place every week and every time the pizza is just superb. Just make sure to get it well done!!!
Fugetaboutit. My family and I have become regulars at Carmine's. For starters, they have really good pizza. Also, they have have a good menu with some great dishes to choose from. From wraps and sandwiches, to pasta and meat dishes, you can't go wrong with anything you order. Seating is a bit tight, but Carmine himself has said they will be expanding before next year. Mets fans be warned, the Yakees decor is overwhelming.
Can't go wrong. Very few places can pull off broccoli rabe like Grandma used to make. Carmine's is among the vey few. Excellent with grilled chicken. Also an excellent choice is Rigatoni with broccoli rabe and sausage.
My cousin Louis introduced me to this place during the summer and I have come back to eat here many times. I would imagine that there are no bad choices at Carmine's.

Now that it seems S. Cono's is all but out of the graham ave. pizza ring, the difference between tony's and carmine's is black and white. white being the winner and also carmine's
carmines has my vote for:
*the best ny style pizza in brooklyn
*the worst pizzeria decor in brooklyn
Amazing service, ambient and food portions!
The attendants were absolutely attentive and amazing, despite how busy the restaurant was!!! A shoutout to Alex and Junior that were superb!
We didn’t have a booking but arriving at the door, one of the waiters told us we could eat at the bar. We were three, walked in and found a spot for us. We had the gigantic (1,5L) bottle of wine, the stuffed mushroom as starters (soooo good) and the chicken parmigiana with pasta as a main. Very generous portions and delicious food.
Looking forward to be going there again.
Amazingly delicious. From the huge family style portions decor service everything is on point. Just make sure you go there hungry and you bring at least 4-6 people to help devour their delicious dishes..
Thank you Carmine's..
Wood fire pizza by the slice - need I say more?
Loved the vibe of this place - wall to wall Yankees autographs, imported Italian sodas and snacks, and the pizza was very solid. Great sauce good crust - great place to grab a slice!
Carmine’s is incredible! Whenever I walk by carmine’s, it is a rule that I must get a slice - they are too good. The grandma slices in particular are my favorite and their vodka sauce is perfection. Always fresh, quick, and delicious!
Service was very attentive. We started with cocktails and a small plain pizza. Martini was good. The crust was excellent. I thought the sauce needed more seasoning. We ordered eggplant parmigiana. It was light, tasty. We also ordered a special... chocken parm over fusilli pasta with a vodka sauce.
Best pizza place in Brooklyn!
There are so many pizza spots around but none is better than Carmine's.
I haven't had a slice that I didn't like and I tried pretty much all styles over the years.
The thin crust pizza is absolutely fantastic here.
The restaurant is divided into take out and dine in sections which is very well thought.

Layout/atmosphere
*Pizzeria part of the building/business; two tables; four seat counter; Yankees autographed photos on the walls; covered outdoor dining structure in street
Food/drink
*Upside Down square slice - Good; nice crunch on the crust; sauce/cheese up to standard
*Vodka Sausage square slice - Good; sweet sausage; cheesy; vodka sauce subtle (in a positive way)
First time there was today. Checks every box for me. Deserves to mentioned with all the other heavy hitters in the city
The food was delicious, crust was a little overcooked but the flavor made up for it.
The experience was great overall, the waitress made us feel at home. I recommend visiting and enjoying the dining experience!
This is a classic NYC slice. Will meet all expectations. Perhaps a bit too much cheese but otherwise awesome.
I found the grandma slice not too great. It was too soft. Almost like it was undercooked. The flavor of the sauce and garlic was awesome though.
