Nice spot for quality + reliable food - great outdoor atmosphere and plenty of seating. CASH ONLY!! They have 2 ATM’s on-site just in case you forget, the atm fee isn’t too bad (about $2.50). The frozen drinks are great, the Piña colada was very strong but still delicious! They carry a variety of beverages like Jarritos and Mexican Coke. The Cuban sandwich is definitely one of the best in the city, along with the street corn. The quesadilla was pretty standard. I would definitely return and we love the outdoor area so much. One thing the restaurant could improve on big-time… not having the host/person taking orders have both AirPods in… they were clearly listening to music loud to the point they were whispering because they couldn’t hear themselves. I thought it was a bit rude and off-putting, almost wanted to leave because we approached and the acknowledgement that we were there seemed inconvenient for the employee. 😕

Love the elotes (grilled corn on the cob) and piña colada drinks with whatever sweet sauce you want added (Mango, strawberry, guava, passion fruit, pineapple, etc.)

So great to see this spot open for the season again! Love their fish tacos and their frozen margaritas are perfection on a hot day 🍹

One cool place! I have to be honest, this is more of a Bar that has great food than a restaurant. First off, the food was delicious! All of us had grilled street corn and it was really good, its a bit salty but thats why there is a slice of lemon to balance it out. The roasted pork bowl was heavenly, it came of course with rice, salad and beans and I could barely finish it. Tacos were also excellent, fresh ingredients, shrimp was nicely grilled and the guacamole that came with the tacos was freshly made, im pretty sure it was not sitting the whole day and they just scooped it up with every order. The Mojitos were really good, not stingy with the alcohol and not too overpowering. They taste great. We had our dog and like most restaurants and establishment in this area welcome pets. Would definetly recomend this place if you like South American food especially Cuban food and have a bit of a drink.

Always a good time at Habana. Drinks and food are on point. Only thing is they don’t take card. Make sure you have cash on hand when you go there. They do have an ATM at the establishment. Cool out for seating. Nice chill place to hang out with friends, after work lime or just to meet new people. I love the diverse customers all hanging out together in one place.

Drinks were strong and delicious (I only needed one for that reason). Food was good too! Nothing mind blowing, they serve the classic hits. But definitely would come back. The atmosphere is a lot of fun.

Really enjoyed the margarita but a little pricey. Perfect for a hot day. Wouldn't say it's the best cuban sandwich in the city but it was very tasty, could be less salty. The fish tacos we're tasty but weren't the best I've had. The seasoning on the corn was really yummy and was seasoned well.

My family and I came across this place quite by accident after another restaurant down the block ran out of food. The place was colorful and inviting which lured us in to check it out. The name of the place told us it was Cuban, however, they serve both Cuban and Mexican food. And FYI, they don't serve Cuban-Mexican fusion food and the items from these respective countries are listed separately on the menu. Once you place your order with the cashier, an electronic number system tells customers when their food can be picked up outside from a permanent food truck that is part of the whole restaurant. I ordered a Cuban sandwich; it was delicious. My wife and son ordered traditional Mexican platters with all the authentic fixins'. Besides the food, there were several things about this place that really struck me: 1. This place was the first restaurant in New York City to be solar powered. 2. This place recycles rain water for their bathrooms. 3. This place is colorful and festive with a lot of tongue-in-cheek commentary displayed throughout. 4. Children get paper placemats and crayons where they can color in an cartoon outline of rapper Biggie Smalls. Who does that?! 5. The entire restaurant closes during the cold weather months and reopens in the Spring. 6. Diners have a choice between indoor or outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is a lot more fun. 7. The owner of this place is very socially responsible and gives back to the community in a big way. 8. This place supports local artists. This is one of those restaurants that's not just a gastronomic experience, but a visual feast as well. Come for the food, but stay for the fun.

On a lazy Saturday afternoon, I managed to catch a short line at this Ft.Greene mainstay. My go to has always been the burrito, whether fish, chicken, or beef, my taste buds are never quite ready for the amount of deliciousness I experience. The prices are comparable to more popular chains, but the added bonus of a frozen margarita or pina colada, is worth the extra bump. The patio space gets crowded quick as people linger and socialize after eating, but if always feels like a big backyard party as music is also piped into the area. Definitely worth the hang time.
