Review Brooklyn Farmacy & Soda Fountain - Brooklyn

Love the vintage vibe from this place, the moment you go in, is like going back on time! All the old decor they have is great, make sure you look around. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the place is big. I love the ice cream sundae we had it was delicious! Can’t wait to try other things from the menu. The staff is friendly and helpful!

Charming spot, would definitely suggest staying and enjoying the atmosphere. The hot chocolate with toasted marshmallow was delicious and sweet; I do usually prefer the consistency of my hot chocolate to be thicker, but it was still very good. The vanilla egg creme was also great.

The hot chocolate is amazing and the atmosphere is great! They even have picture books and board games for customers to play. Gets pretty busy at night so the big tables are usually already taken, but even so I'm already planning to bring my friends here again

Nice old school looking ice cream parlor. The decor was nice. Service was prompt.. ice cream sundae ordered was the afogato sundae. It was good but not exceptional. I thought the ice cream was a small scoop and the cake was small. The vanilla ice cream was nice but not exceptional. The sundae cost 14 dollars and it was certainly not worth the 14 dollars. I would visit the place to see it and experience it. But it would not be something I would feel is exceptional.

Great place! My grandfather used to work at a soda shop as a boy before WW2 started and I remember a lot of stories he told me, this reminds me a lot of those stories. Keeping the past alive! Great ice cream also! Way better than Mr. Frostee!!

I had a chocolate egg cream and it was great! The ambiance is so nostalgic and I had a lovely experience in there. It's like a time capsule of a Era gone by and I am completely living for it!! Would recommend to anyone in the area!!

Cute old school ice cream parlor. Tons of sundaes and shakes. A bit pricey for what you get in the sundae with just one scoop of ice cream. Seems more like a spot to order a shake as everyone around me ordered shakes!

We were on the prowl for some sweets, and by pure luck, we stumbled upon this real gem. A ice cream joint with an old-school soda fountain, rockin' that classic vintage pharmacy vibe (yup, it used to be a pharmacy back in the day). Inside was just beautiful, with all the little deets carefully thought out, even down to them drawers with old medicine boxes. We hit 'em up for milkshakes, brownies, sundaes, and two scoops of ice cream. Gotta tell ya, it was all hella delicious, and the service was top-notch. This place was a straight-up stunner. No doubt, we'd swing by again and again, no question about it!

It’s as good as their legacy- they do amazing classics. I personally love the banana split and the potato chip caramel sundae, and the pistachio ice cream in particular is beautifully nutty and floral with cardamom, too. It takes a long time to be served, but is worthwhile. The atmosphere is warm and cute, I just wish they had more board games and seating for two! Even in the late afternoon or evening, every seat is taken. I’d definitely be here more often if it didn’t feel like places to sit required urgent turnover.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Brooklyn Farmacy in Cobble Hill and I cannot recommend this spot enough! The ambiance of the place makes it feel like it's been a beloved part of the community for decades. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to stop for dessert after dinner. The dessert options are varied and all delicious, but I especially loved the milkshakes and sundaes - they were a hit with everyone in my group. I am not a big egg cream person, but it's worth trying if you haven't had one before. Overall, Brooklyn Farmacy is a must-visit spot for anyone in the area looking for a great dessert spot with a charming atmosphere and warm service.

Old school atmosphere for some dessert. We didn't try their egg cream they're known for but the bobby flay affogato and frozen hot chocolate were both delicious.

Love the menu selection they have and the service is nice. Although i wish someone also paid attention to the bathrooms cleanliness and working conditions… that’s why 4 stars

Lovely unique spot for dessert with a dark academia vibe. I liked the purchasing process of (ordering and paying, receiving a table stand number, open seating) and felt it helps with flow. Desserts a little spendy but worth it-delicious ice cream, quality toppings and additives. Staff were friendly. One bathroom in back.

An old fashioned ice cream shop with the most delicious milkshakes I’ve had in NYC. Such a cute spot for an afternoon treat or a date.

This place is amazing. The desserts are incredible, friendly service, they really did a great job with the decor. There may be a wait to sit but it's totally worth it, but you can order to go. Great for special events, date night or birthday.

This place has been on my list forever! Finally got to visit and it was like stepping back in time. Why have the Metaverse when you have real places like this?! The nostalgic decor, the history, the treasured items including fantastic desserts. How romantic.

EDIT: I have now been here a second time and absolutely loved the milkshake and thought it was reasonably priced! I love the ambiance of this place! All of the old pharmacy memorabilia was so cool! And the birthday cake ice cream Sundae was delicious! I felt it was a bit overpriced but the whole experience of this place was worth it! So much fun!

The food was not that good but the ice cream is awesome and I will waitress forgot everything she had to give us so we weren't too happy with the service

I have had such a great time each time I've been here. Service is wonderful, food/dessert are very good and the prices are just right. A great place to hang out with a small group 4-10.

I love this place. The ice cream sundaes are wonderful and the sodas are really special. (Also they have tasty lunch food). It’s a stop I always try to make time for when I come to NYC.

Egg cream just like I remembered back when I was a kid. Root beer float like I used to get from Mr Softee truck. Love this place makes me feel like a kid

Yummy ice cream on a cold day :) A really nice place for a quick bite and/or a sweet treat.

We stopped in for a treat after running the Brooklyn Half Marathon and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We had cappuccino and the warm brownie sundae with fresh whipped cream. Heavenly. The staff were really friendly and it is a kid friendly place as well.

Not our first visit, so I know to expect the orders to take a while. It wasn't a busy night. While the ice cream is delicious, i wouldn't know based on tonight's visit. When I received my more smores, it had coffee ice cream instead of chocolate so I requested it to be fixed. 10 minutes later, someone asked me to clarify what I wanted. 25 minutes after that, I canceled my order. The rest of my group had been finished for a while and I didn't want them to wait any longer. That was not the only mistake of the night. The Mr. Potato head was lacking peanut butter and the cherries. The bandana split had walnut shells in it. The waitress seemed embarrassed that I never got my ice cream. But she hadn't even been aware of the mistake because she never came back to ask if we needed anything.

Yummy and delicious. I highly recommend. Great for a quick ice cream stop.

Ambiance was great! The hostess that met us at the front to be seated was less than pleasant. She told us that we could leave our carriage (with the baby inside) at the front by the door. What the hell was she thinking??? We kindly reminded her that there was a real baby inside and told her that we would wait for a large enough table to seat our family. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. Waitress that helped us was absolutely fantastic. She made our 2 daughters feel really comfortable and spoke to them about cartoons and things that they liked. She made the whole experience worth wild and had us forget the whole experience with the hostess. I would definitely go back again and would recommend others to give this place a try.

The staff was amazing and we had a wonderful time. The greatest ice cream we have ever had. Everyone should stop by Brooklyn Farmacy.

We had a wonderful/delicious time! The historical elements of an apothecary were delightful, too. Our family had our first egg creams here: so yummy! Highly recommend.

One thing. Soda is made on the premises. Which is cool. But they didn’t haven’t diet soda. So they served us warm water. But everything else is good.

Eating there was like going back in history to an old fashioned ice cream parlor. Food and ice cream was delicious. Had a great baby shower there ! Service fabulous. Definitely going back!
