If you know you know. This is an 80 year institution that is always busy. They do pizza right which is why the cars are lined up in two rows and people wait for the perfectly cooked pizza in a single line. The staff is quick so the line moves. Enjoy the surroundings. After pizza make room for summoning. The best I ever had and they don't skimp on the serving or ingredients. If you want formal dining they offer that as well. Everything is spectacular. Their sauce is the star.

One of New York city's most legendary pizzerias. Square slice is what they're known for. Plenty of street & parking lot parking available. A lot of seating outside for you to sit down & enjoy your food as well.

The square slice is up there with the best in NY. Crispy base with a super fluffy dough, complimented beautifully with the melted mozzarella cheese underneath the tangy tomato sauce. I should have got more than 1 slice.

Love the pizza here and all the food is delicious. Went for my daughter's birthday. They made a special treat for her really amazing. The steak special was definitely something to get.

We sat in the outside area where the pizza and italian ice are located. The Sicilian slices were definitely well worth the hype. However avoid getting regular slices, as those are ordinary. I recommend trying the Spumoni ice, absolutely delicious.

We ordered the chef's table. Several price options $75 $85 or $115 I think? We did $85 per person - 3 appetizers, 1 salad ,2 pasta dishes, 2 dinner plates (we did chicken and veal), 1 Hugh dessert plate-spumoni,ice cream cones, termisue, canoli filled with cheese cake and other goodies. All was fantastic 😊

A favorite spot whenever I'm in Brooklyn. Their reputation for the best pizza, hands down is apparent in your first bite. Love the classic Sicilian slice, very robust flavor, all about the sauce. Recommend the pear and arugula salad. Rice balls parmigiana was the highlight this visit. As well as the pasta Bolognese - excellent. Service was slow and a little off given the overwhelming crowds. It was also way too loud in the front area of the restaurant. Couldn't be helped as it was a Sunday and prime time.

FINALLY! After all these years we made it. What a blast we had. We sat inside. Right by the entrance in one of the window seats. Loved it, you had a view of the tables and take out window outside.
Food was amazing! We started with salad and a few appetizers. You basics, rice balls, baked clams, mozzarella sticks. We split the chicken Parmesan and Notte Di Natale. Both were huge and too much for two.
We over course ended the meal with a dish of signuatee spumoni and my favorite mint chocolate chip.
Really fun place. Totally recommend for family dinners or small/large groups.

This review only covers the takeaway pizza window and Spumoni/ice cream counter. Order the Sicilian pizza as a half sheet minimum (12 slices in a half sheet) as it comes (forget the toppings) to guarantee yourself a fresh out of the oven pie and thank me later. The sauce here is an absolute stand out and by putting the primary cheese (i.e. the layer of cheese normally on the top of a cheese pizza) below the sauce directly on top of the crust, then putting the sauce on top of that, then finishing it off with a sprinkling of grated cheese, you are left with more exposure to the taste of the glorious sauce and a wonderful texture with just the right bite running from soft to firm. Eat it right outside the window at their many tables and enjoy it at its peak. Top that off with a rainbow spumoni (ordering just a spumoni will get you the rainbow one which should tell you that it's the right call) which is a mixture of cremolata (vanilla with almonds), chocolate, and pistachio gelato and you have yourself on heck of a delicious meal.
New Haven pizza is elite, but if you want to stray from the land of thin crust this is one of the best ways to do it. You won't regret it.
