Buasavanh

I came here for a graduation party yesterday and ordered the pad thai amongst other things. The pad thai had a piece of glass roughly about an inch long in it. I was fortunate in not cutting my mouth as it grazed my teeth first. I immediately told the wait staff who took my pad thai order away. They removed it from my bill and then made a free one for me to go. The to go pad thai had ANOTHER PIECE OF GLASS IN IT!!! I just can’t believe it. I’ll never eat there again. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Here’s a picture of the glass i found. Thankfully I combed around my plate before diving in.

Had a blast with friends and family, down fall was the food. Papaya was untouched tasted like carrots with sugar and fish sauce, laab was bland, portion was good but for food that tastes like that is not worth it. It worst then any asian restaurant ever, even homemade tastes better! The food was expensive and not worth it at all. Liqour was expensive too, $6 for a tiny shot not even the size of regular shot cup, a liqour bottle costs $20 was $60 there. Wish the food was good so if you're going there for an event make sure you eat first!

the owner by the name of txia koua is a con. the day of my wedding he tells me he couldn't put up my color decor because they are not fire proof when he had over half a year to get it and get it right. considering he has done this before the would order the right one. when asked if we could get it approve by the fire marshal he then change the story and said he didn't order it. i went in and checked with him almost every weekend two months ahead to make sure everything was good. I should have known this was going to happen considering his constant calling about what we agreed upon on our contract. he even try to kick me out instead of trying to work things out with me. he charged me $1500 for decor that is always hanging on the ceiling nothing changes. i asked him to deduct from not having my color as he has promised in the contract. he then made my family clean up in order for him to deduct. He twist his words a lot so if you are going to work with this dude in booking this place record everything on contract and make sure he signs it. he lied and cheated us out on money because his business is going bankrupt so now all he is doing is trying to collect as much as he can and bounce. his contract said opens 8am - 2am but its a lie...he cut us out at 1am and said we had until 2am to leave. plus our food we ordered from him was cold and not worth what he charges. $140 for a tray of shrimp and it was only filled up to half way and only have a few shrimp with tons of veggies. consider this a warning. i have many people telling me he did the same to them. the place is fair...his business is not.

Love the food and the people there!! The owner Thomas Sisaket is a funny and fantastic business man. His beautiful wife Vanta Sisaket is also a delight to talk too. I love knowing that the banquet hall is family owned and run. I always have a amazing time at Buasavanh whether it's for a banquet or fundraiser party. I always go home with lots of fun memories and stories to share (once everyone sobers up that is.) Haha!!
