what a treat! friendly staff, generous pours, super food, excellent clam chowder and the soy sauce on the rice with the chicken kabobs exceptional! we definitely will come here again when in Brookings and recommend to all our friends. while we were only in town for 2 days, we went there 2/x's. Yahoo Irish Pub!!!!!
This place is sooo amazing! They have wonderful service, outstanding food from clam chowder to corned beef tacos! The pastrami is amazing too! Fat Marys changed our lives too, whole different twist on a bloody mary=way better!!!
The Fat Irish was a great stop. We were seated right away at 6 on a Saturday. Our server was great and super attentive. The food was really enjoyable and the atmosphere is fun. It is pretty loud inside. They have a good beer selection and the bar tenders are engaging and fun. The fish and chips and chowder were better than some of the other sea food places and about the same price. It's worth the stop.
Awesome food 😋 great atmosphere 👌 great customer service 👍 and good beer 🍺 nothing better than guinness, smithwicks and irsh rugby 🏉
Absolutely perfect! It's everything you could ask for in an Irish pub!! The bar tender was probably the single best I've ever seen. Do yourself a favor and stop if you get a chance. 100%!
Came here on a Tuesday night for dinner. The clam chowder was delicious! Ordered the fish tacos since it was Taco Tuesday and I couldn't finish it because there was something spicy hot in it.
This place is amazing! This is my second time and I had to take my husband. The Irish Stew is legendary and tastes like it comes from Grandma’s kitchen. Hands down one of my favorite places in town! They care about their customers and even when a mistake is made (which is rare) they go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy.
Great customer service! The music and the vibe of this place is cozy and makes you feel at home. Can’t speak any higher of this place. It’s a must stop for friends, family and newcomers. Thank you to you and your team at Fat Irish for a great date night.
We tried this place out for our first time and we'll definitely be back! The fish and chips meal was my choice and my husband had the Cottage Pie. We both enjoyed our food! The next time we came for weekend brunch and had the Big Harry Bloody Mary. Wow! It's a meal in itself! The waitresses were sweet and I even got a free piece of cheesecake for my birthday.
Came in with 16 people unannounced and was able to fit us in the outside seating quickly. Ordered the pub burger to scratch my craving, meat was slightly over cooked, and I would rather have liked a brioche bun instead of a ciabatta bread for the burger. Great appetizers. Properly poured Guinness. Nice bar area.
My first time being here but with a delayed because of the kitchen I loved it.
With got cheese curds mixed as it was cheesy and the cheese pull as well taste amazing.
My mom loved her clamps chowder as a bread bowl.
My pub burger was amazing as it was very juicy with rich flavor. Added bacon and Swiss cheese to truly set it off.
My brother got the Philly cheese steak.
They were very busy but we were able to get a table quickly. The server was very kind and attentive. It did take a while to get our soup, though. That's all we ordered, and it took as long as any other meal. It was delicious, though.
We stopped in for dinner on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We had a delicious dinner of fish and chips, calamari and Caesar salad. The calamari was perfect and the fish and chips was so fresh. We had a nice variety of beers to choose from as well. We realized that there may not be any restaurants open on Thanksgiving so we ordered a whole meal to take with us for the next day. We had a wonderful Irish Stew and Banners and mashed potatoes. Even warmed up in our hotel microwave, it tasted perfect. We had a fun and unique ho.iday dinner. We will definitely be back on our next trip.
