The Barbecue Pit

I recently moved to the neighborhood and decided to try out Rani's barbecue pit. It's clear that Rani takes pride in her food and has been a dedicated member of the community for over 24 years. She makes everything from scratch, including the samosas and empanadas. The veggie burger with spinach, lentils, and rice was a standout, and the turkey chili and meatloaf were also delicious. Rani and her team put a lot of effort and care into their food, and it shows in the unique flavors and spices used in their dishes. It's worth a trip from anywhere to try out Rani's barbecue pit! And don’t forget about the ribs and chicken in the corn bread.

Best in the city.... far better than any of the fancy schmancy BBQ joints. I'd confidently take any of my food connoisseur friends here to marvel over the marbled meat! No wonder this unassuming spot has outlasted most other establishments. Rani has been in business 24 years- she is the best in the business!!

Tasty options all around and some amazing vegetarian options, especially for a barbeque shop. The spicy eggplant and tofu entree is my all-time fave and I am very fond of the collard greens. The pulled pork is so yummy. Hubby has enjoyed the turkey meatloaf many times. Samosas, biryani, quesadillas, wings, chicken/rib rack combos, fried chicken and many healthy options like grilled salmon/shrimp/catfish or chicken over a fresh mixed greens salad. They also do party packages like 2 whole chickens, 2 whole racks of ribs, 30 buffalo wings, etc.
