Ordered fried rice and spicy sour soup
It came with good value, and the taste was beyond my expectations. Overall speaking, happy to find this restaurant in this area. Will definitely visit it again.

This is a good place for authentic Chinese food. Upon entry you are greeted nicely. The place is spacious, the service is so-so, almost mechanized, but the food is delicious!

I’ve come here multiple times. The General Tso’s chicken is really good. Also had the scallion pancake, egg drop soup, tofu with broccoli and garlic sauce and sliced chicken with veggies. Fresh ingredients and delicious sauces. Not too goopy or heavy. Friendly service and fast kitchen.

Anise is a gem. For $12 you get a lunch that includes entree, rice, soup, a drink and a spring roll. Fortune cookie with the check. It is near impossible to beat this combination anywhere else in The Bronx. You may find a bigger selection (Golden Corral or another buffet) but the food will be bland and poorly done. This food is done right. The kung pao chicken, was lean, crisp and without fat or gristle. The spring roll was light and fried precisely. The vegetables were beautiful and delicious from the baby corn to the mushrooms and zucchini. This is the best venue to host a business lunch in Riverdale and in the Bronx, outside of Little Italy or Throggs Neck. The other two locations will be far more expensive and have little to no parking. City Island also. I strongly recommend this for a business meeting or a delicious lunch.

We went here with our cousin to get take out. Everyone thought it was good.
Chinese food can be hit and miss so often so I'm hesitant ordering from a new place.
Everyone thought it was good and was complementary so I'm giving it 4 stars.
If you are in the neighborhood for whatever reason and hungry for Chinese stop in, you'll probably like what you order.
The people at the counter were very nice as well which is a plus.

Ordered. Chicken & Broccoli, General Tao Chicken & Shrimp w/Lobster sauce Lunch specials. Good price for lunch specials with includes Soup, Rice (White,Brown or Vegetable Fried rice) & spring or Egg roll. So you get a-lot for the lunch specials. Wontons in soup are small & soft. They should offer Dinner combos though . Food was good, better then most take outs in the area.

Great Chinese restaurant. Great cold noodles, vegetable noodle soup, sesame chicken, lemon and pineapple chicken, four seasons filet of sole. I've had all. All great.

Anise is a pretty, large, and comfortable restaurant for eat-in dining. For health reasons, many dishes are off-limits for me. A perfect entree - both delicious and low-salt - is Sauteed Spinach with Chicken. Eating it there with hot tea and friends is lovely.

ORDER AHEAD OF TIME !!!!! Super nice and clean place but the waiting time was disgusting . I waited more than 20 mins for my food and the lady gave food to everyone that came after me first in like 5 minutes. If you’re picking up lunch from here order by phone before arriving to the place !
