Today had Pastrami which was very tasty and tender, and it was certainly as large as Bens Deli. I don't really enjoy a pound of meat on sandwich. The pastrami here is excellent. Easily the best in the Bronx. Service is friendly and quick. The sandwich is not as big as other deli's but I prefer quality over quantity.
I used to always grab a knish or their hot dogs, but things weren't up to par as pop Loesher started stepping back from day to day operations. That's the problem with moms and pop businesses, the kids don't often carry the business and they have to resort to hiring just anyone.

This place is legit and stays true to its roots (no cheese steaks on this menu like Katz) if you want cheap sandwiches go to the bodega. This is not the same type of deli.
I always come here for a proper hot dog and pickles and not once have I been disappointed. Prices can be a little high but you get quality in exchange
