Even on a busy day, the Pine Tree Café provides good food and quick service. The premade salads are delicious and fresh, coming in half a dozen varieties at least. Custom made fare also an option. Good portion sizes. New York prices. Service cheerful if not a bit to thorough. A wide variety of drinks. Did wonder why the attendant restocking during the lunch rush was fussing over the precise positioning of every bottle. Was told that yes, people do buy the red wine in a can.
Loved the fresh oven fired pizza, I love this style of pizza, crust is thin and there is a generous amount of sauce and toppings. I was really hungry so I thought it was delicious. I also got a sandwich which was not quite as good it needed more time in the oven to heat up but it was alright.
This is always a pretty busy cafe as the gardens have a constant stream of visitors but the food is good and variety is offeredthat suits most people. For aparkeatery...its pretty decent. Often has lines but they are quick. Indoor seating is limited.
Came here after the Orchid Show and they have a ton of assortments of baked goods, sandwiches, pizzas, pre-made sandwiches, and also a build-your-own salad. I got the Cuban Sandwich and the MeatLover pizza and they tasted pretty good.
The Pine Tree Cafe is a great quality restaurant at the New York Botanical Garden that offers guests wonderful meals at reasonable prices.
When visiting the New York Botanical Garden in January of 2022, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at the Pine Tree Cafe.
I purchased a pizza pie for both my wife and myself and we both found it to be well seasoned, tasty and delicious!!!
In light of the COVID 19, the Pine Tree Cafe also made sure that its table and seats were appropriately distanced from each other and its hand sanitizers were readily accessible.
All in all, both my wife and I very much enjoyed our time and experience at the Pine Tree Cafe!!!
sandwiches were yummy! tables and floors of seating area were pretty grim, could defo use a sweeping every now and then.
This cafe is located inside the Botanical Gardens in The Bronx. I had a tasty sandwich and a soda. There are public restrooms and the bugs will bite you while wandering the large gardens. There is also a gift shop. Admission cost was $35.00 unless you were a student at Fordham University.
Vegan eats review:
Surprised to find good options and to add delicious and well thought out.
Farro salad is packed with deliciousness. Flavors marry well with each other, shallots, olives, capers, golden raisins.
Roasted broccoli tofu sandwich was not bland and had a satisfying taste with the tasty ciabatta loaf.
There was a tumeric hummus as well but I didn’t have an opportunity to try it.
My boyfriend and I absolutely LOVED the pizza! It was made with passion and it shows. 10/10!
I sure hope that those employees are being paid well. I witnessed an absolutely rude customer complaining about something stupid that was out of the employee’s control. I was getting angry because I HATE people like that. But you know what?? The employee stayed calm. As if it was no big deal. He OFFERED NICELY to get the manager and then the manager was very polite as well. It taught me to be more patient from now on.
There really should be a better system to get the people moving. Its chaos.
The food is always fantastic. It stays pretty consistent throughout the seasons. There are some seasonal dishes. Their sandwiches are sooo delicious, same as pizza and soups. It gets a bit hectic.
