El Malecon Restaurant

Possibly one of the best Spanish restaurants I've ever been to. As soon as we walked into the door we were greeted with a friendly smile and seated instantaneously. I appreciate how fast the food came considering the countless number of take-out orders. As for the food, it was delicious. Juicy, tender, well-seasoned chicken that hits the spot. Mondongo soup comes hot and satistfied my cravings. Everyone left the restaurants happy and with a full belly. Highly reccommend.

This place is absolutely fabulous. Although the decor is not the best they try their best. The staff members are good at the cash register. Usually when I go here there are a few men who work the register and they're very polite sweethearts. They tried their best to help you out. However I can't say the same about the women who work as a waitress on the floor. When I go to sit down and always appears as though these women have a very displeasing facial expression. I'm not just talking about one I'm talking about many of them. I just can't figure out if you're not happy where you are then find somewhere that will make you happy. Of course the pleasant attitude always helped to bring about more 5 stars to your establishment. Let's talk about the food the food is always on point the rotisserie chicken is probably the best in the neighborhood. Always juicy never dry. The beans specifically the black beans are always flavored just enough. Never overseasoned and never salty. Just what I like. The rice specifically the yellow rice is nice and soft and on top of it then it's perfectly size to be considered yellow rice. When it comes down to the mofongo I enjoy the chicken absolutely perfectly blended with just enough seasoning and garlic. The sauce that goes with it is 100% very good taste in. I doubt very seriously if it comes out of the can or though someone told me it did I can't believe that's possible not the way it is very flavorful and specifically it is not heavy and salt. This is one of the best restaurants to visit when you are in the Bronx you must come and check this place out dinner here is always on point. I promise I will give pictures of my meal the next time.

Malecon the food there is so awesome I know they cook Dominican style but a lot of their food reminds me what my Cuban mother used to make all the time and plus they had that beautiful black beans awesome for the money you pay more than you do in other Spanish restaurants but they give you a lot of food and the rotisserie chicken mouth watering customer service is the best people there greet you with a smile

I couldn’t believe how good the food was here. I’ve only had a soup to go once a long time ago but today my family all came here for a graduation lunch and we were fascinated by how delicious everything was, even the coffee was delicious! The place is neat and clean with music not so loud, the place has many colorful lights as well which gives it an elegant touch. The waitress although super busy, managed to be awesome. Highly, HIGHLY recommend.

This place is one of my favorites restaurant for traditional Dominican, food ready good food I can not give five star because of the ambience and the location there’s no parking the road is really busy crowded. I know is that the restaurant fault but it’s not convenient to come here otherwise I highly recommend it

Tasty food, bring your appetite, the portions "son generosos"! Whether you are in need of feasting on pernil, mangu, mofongo, chicken and rice or simply café con leche. The fruit smoothies/batidos can be made with milk or water. If you drive here, finding parking can be a challenge, you have been warned!

I haven’t been here since 2007 and all I can tell you is that the food is still the same as it was the last time I came here.. PHENOMENAL… and the Gentleman who took my order was EXCEPTIONAL…the Rotisserie Chicken is on point as well as the Red Beans and White Rice.. if you happen to be on W 231st in the Bronx.. you most definitely need to stop by…🤩🤩🤩🤩
