There aren't many Greek restaurants around this area but nonetheless this is the most authentic Greek you'll get in the Bronx! Amazing food and service. The owners are so nice and great to their customers. So good.
Very good food. Nice place. But they can't seem to get take out orders correct. Three times: items left out, wrong dishes, salad/no dressing. Disappointing.
Very good Moussaka. I ordered some moussaka and iced tea (no sugar). The moussaka was very very good. In Queens where I reside there are plenty of places that serve up moussaka. The problem that I have is that some of these places make it too thin or too thick. In both cases you either can't distinguish one taste from the other when it is too thick and chunky and uninteresting when it is too thick. The moussaka here at the Greek Express was just right. I feel like little red riding hood but what the hell, right. This stuff was good.
The service was friendly and efficient. I also liked that the place was clean.
Absolutley Delicous!!!!!. Went there on a wim and I wasn't disappointed in the least. The place is very small. However the are planning expand with in a month. The service was warm and inviting. The food was fresh and delicious. We tried three appetizers and three entrees and it came under 60 dollars with drinks. I am so happy to have found this place. Even my six year old son cleaned his plate. The owner and staff was so friendly and welcoming definitley a jewel in the Bronx. I can not wait to go back again.

Finally, something different!. This is just what Riverdale needed! We have TONS of pizza and chinese places and not too much diversity when it comes to food, but this place is just what the Dr. ordered!
My husband I eagerly watched them build the place, and on opening day ran int to get a menu and order! We were not let down. I love the gyro platter which is served with a small greek salad, fries or rice, pita bread and tzitziki sauce. The portions are huge and fairly priced and the service is always friendly.
If you call and get a busy signal (which I often do) keep trying- its bc they are so popular! Definately worth it.
Small Taverna BIG FAT GREEK DISHES. I love this place, One visit and you"ll feel the same. If you search for quality, authentic food and have a bit of patience youll love this place. Something delicious on every visit. I've been to Greek Express several times and try something new with every visit. It's warm environment, created by the owner, makes it comfortable to ask for assistance about menu items, or seek out the Chef's own suggestions. The soups are always hearty, plentiful and fresh. I can't get enough of the avgolemono soup (chicken/lemon/egg) The orzo salad with Meditteranean ingredients was refreshing, unique and abundant! The falafels seem to be in everyone's order, while I sit in, eating and watching gorgeous Greek travel destinations in HD! Besides the warm and filling gyros, I recently had the chicken souvlaki, which tasted marinated and grilled like they all should be. Delicious! I eyeballed a gent behind me with a HUGE portion of pastitsio (layers of pasta and meat , topped with a bechamel sauce) that could be a serious choice on my next visit. I'm also thinking about their moussaka (layers of eggplant/potato/beef/bechamel sauce) this weekend. Hmmm? Well, It's a casual, friendly and comforting place to have any great meal. Oh, I forgot to mention the rice pudding is made on the premises!!

about 6 tables. The Ambiance of the place is OK, The service was OK, The server works alone serving and doing other stuff so to get a refill of water was a bit difficult, we had to continously get up to ask for a refill because they serve water in tiny cups. The food was absolutely awesome. All the stars are for the food, I absolutely love the food here. Great salad and amazing flavors in the entrees. Meals are the same price for lunch n dinner so $20 each for the lunch platter.
Every time I passed this place I will tell my self that I must try it. Well, today was the day!! My brother and I tried this place and we were very pleased. The food was good, the salad was delicious!! My brother had the first octopus and he liked it. I had the shrimp with rice, very good; the feta cheese enhanced the flavor on the sauce. We will definitely return!! The gentlemen the owners were very nice and attentive.
If you do stop by, give yourself time to look for parking, is a busy street
This is a small and cozy restaurant that seems to be family owned. The service is excellent, the server was very kind and helpful. We tried the gyro and the chicken souvlaki. The crowd favorite was definitely the gyro. The Tzatziki was really good. They provided us with more pita at no cost. I would definitely eat here again.
My girlfriend and I was looking for a mom and pop like restaurant and we found it with Greek Express. The vibes feel like you're with family and the atmosphere is like you're in Santorini. The food is very fresh, flavorful, and clean. Manos (I hope I got his name right) the owner spoke with us, he came out to speak with all the guests and make sure we were ok. I didn't get our waiters name but he was an older gentlemen very helpful and kind as well. The food, the atmosphere, The Staff brings Greece to NYC and it's fire! 🔥🔥🔥 We had the Calamari which is the best calamari I ever had. Usually I eat like 2 or 3 anywhere else but here I couldn't stop eating them. Our main meal, we had the Chicken Souvlaki. We also had the Greek Coffee. If you like your coffee really sweet you probably won't like it. But I loved it. I'll be back for sure. If you're reading this you have to come to Greek Express.
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time here. The service was friendly and very attentive. The food was lite but full of flavor. We really enjoyed our meal.
I’ve never been to the actual location, only had delivery but the food is excellent. A but on the pricey side (I paid almost $90 with tax & tip include for 3 meals/people) but definitely worth it especially since there is no other spot like this in my area

Was in the mood for Greek Food, especially grilled octopus. The Greek Coffee was great like an espresso. Loved the egg plant with hummus, falafels where also flavorful. Great cozy experience! Will be back, Thank you
Very nice place, I le the Greek heritage accessories on the walls and the seaport paint, make u feel like authentic place, it looks like small family business which is something I always love to support, I would suggest to add some Greek brands for the soft drinks section, to complete the Greek experience, snaple is good option for those who don't want to take total Greek "risk", but I'm sure I'm not the only one who want it as authentic as possible... other than that was really nice place! They all was checking on us to make sure we happy with the food, the music in the background was nice and not to loud so we could have nice conversation while we dine.... definitely going to come back

I reached out to Greek Express to cater a film shoot happening nearby and they were wonderful to the work with. The meals were fresh, delicious, and decently priced for what we were getting. The whole cast and crew raved about how delicious their lunches were. I highly recommend this spot!
