Scott the young man behind the counter hooked me up with a free slice of cake since it was my first time here. I appreciated that very much.

I ordered food next door at Tortoise & Hare and got Lloyd's Carrot Cake for dessert.
The carrot cake was SO GOOD. I liked that there weren't any nuts or raisins in this one. Very moist cake and yummy, not overly sweet cream cheese frosting. Wish it tasted more like cream cheese but I also am a cream

The carrot cake and the carrot muffins are so delicious, you will surely go back for more.
They have two versions of the carrot cake, one with walnuts and raisins, and one without. I gobbled up the cake so fast I did not get a picture of it.
Lloyd's Car
Fresh & delicious. Have been there twice now and it tasted better today. We had the carrot cake with nuts and raisins. It was iced right in front of us and was still warm. Also tried the chocolate cupcakes. Delicious and so fresh! You really need to try their cakes. Worth the trip.
I don't even like carrot cake, but I will come here specifically for this carrot cake. How it stays so moist, I don't even want to think about, but lord is this a dessert from the heavens. It was delicious when I was there in high school and it's just as delicious going back as an adult. Bless you,

The perfect carrot cake. I appreciate that the individual slices are a generous but not gluttonous size. Love the +nuts and raisins version for the added textures but would never turn down the one without. Can’t wait to try the other cakes 🤤
I've only had pleasant experiences with the staff at this place and the carrot cake is so good it's hard to have carrot cake from anywhere else. They are the elite when it comes to carrot cakes.

The cake is super moist and not too sweet, it is just perfect. You can taste the love and care that went into making it. The prices are super reasonable and the staff is as sweet as the desserts. I would recommend to anyo
Delightful, delectable homemade cakes and cupcakes... everything is made from scratch...you will never buy plain old store bought cake after eating Lloyd's Carrot Cake...just Yum to the 10th degree!!! It's worth the trip to Broadway just across the street from Van Cortland Park.
Stopped by back in April to get my boyfriend his birthday cake… The best carrot cake ever! It’s nice that they make different types of cake and have a few pre-made.
We stopped on way to a party on Sunday. The place was packed which is a good sign. We ordered the carrot cake with nuts and raisins. The cake was great, unfortunately, they mixed up our order and didn’t get the nuts and raisins. Still good and will go back. Would have been 5 stars if not for the ord
MELT IN YOUR MOUTH GOODNESS! Best carrot cake I’ve ever had in my life. They have cake slices and 6”, 8”, or 10” cakes ready when you walk in and the people are great. Overall wonderful experience and amazing cake! 10/10 highly recommend
Best carrot cake ever! You need to try their carrot cake. It's so moist and flavorful! You have the option of getting it with or without nuts and raisins. There was just the right amount of icing on the cake.
